Yes it just not cricket chaps, we need to ban those recalcitrant clubs that apparently have no supporters and only have those clubs with lots of supporters in grand finals even if they are not good enough to be there, it's in the best interests of the game you know.

By the way does anyone have the up to date attendances for all home and away games so far this year, it may make interesting reading.

With the exception of a Freo Derby , there is bugger all chance of getting even close to 30k these days.

as does whether games are on public holidays, free ticket give-away days, junior council kids day,Sundays, against Eagles and Dockers games on tv, etc etc.
every round has an asterix against it for some reason.
Grand final day is the day we expect people to come out and support their club with no excuses.
If your club cant pull a crowd on GF day then you have no supporters.

Spot on Mark, there are NO excuses GF day.

I remember the weather was shite in 1992 for the derby gf, yet 32, 000 turned up in a ground that had virtually no shelter at all.

I hate the thought of a night GF. If they are dumb enough (and they probably are) to make it a night GF on a Sunday school night, then I hate it even more. And given the AFL prelim final is always on a Saturday night, you can bet the drips at the WAFC will make it a Sunday night.

They've screwed things that much they may as well play the GF at a suburban ground. Far better look for TV and the atmosphere would be very good. They should rotate the GF every year and give the hosting club the financial benefits. Unless its EP or Peel, they already get half a mill a year anyway. That's what I think anyway. Subi is a dead duck for WAFL now, because of how the comp has been run into the ground.

Now that channel 7 has sort of re-discovered the WAFL this season, they seem quite happy to do as they like with the competition. Has anyone seen an update on what will happen if WP make their possible 'night grand final'?

The ban is still on the Cardinals for all season and I read somewhere here that WP might have to compensate Ch9 somehow so that they can remove their logos for possible finals telecasting

A Freo Derby or any combo with WP, SD or Perth would pull a crowd. May be the Garlics will save the WAFC from cocking this up by making a GF. It wont be on the box. LOL!

Channel Seven have said if West Perth make the Grand Final, they will not televise the game unless West Perth remove the Channel Nine logo.
