Sorry mate, I have a new phone and only realised at the ground that I no longer have your number to text about catching up. Great result for us, super pressure from both clubs, great feeling to know we can mix it with the best. Bloody brilliant day with 7.5K attending, Teddy has done his calf again, I said to him it could be an omen as he did the same calf in roughly the same round in 2013, he made it back in time to be a premiership !

No worries mate we probably wouldn't have found each other anyway hugggeee crowd.

Just a question on the so called attendance records, how many of those 7389 were free tickets? I don't think you can claim a true record unless they all pay to be honest. Not knocking the day though as its a great initiative and the club should be congratulated and I wish all clubs would come up with something different like that. I would have attendeded for sure if we weren't playing the same day. Brett Raponi actually stated last year too that really what the club needs is a translation from the freebies given out to actual members and $, that's the key. Hopefully for West Perth a few hundred of those come again next week and thereafter and buy memberships

SD, it is fact that 7389 attended the game yesterday, not so called, I reckon 1500-1800 would of bought tickets (standard Subi v WP usual crowd) to answer your question, its about building awareness and all the work gone into creating a ripper day, footy is the beneficiary. I think your worried that we will top the most attended club in the WAFL.The club is fully aware that it doesn't create too many dollars other than than extra % of sales from the food outlets etc.

ok - ok ... ;) But for the record, my comments were "point’s rorting, umpire kissing"
ummm I didn't use the word Cheat anywhere - you did!! (although I did make it bold here.. :P

Points Rorting is a hard one to deny and almost all here have stated or made comment on it with the consensus not in Subies favour, 'kissing umpires' is purely by choice and far be it for me to deny your boys to kiss whomever they like ... But I do stand by my observations that it was not by giving but by ignoring frees that my comment was made ... and not giving a free within a game can be as momentum turning as giving one where its ridiculous - case in point:-
A WP player down on the ground behind a Subi player who was backing up after being paid a mark, no matter the fact of him trying to get out of the way like a crab scuttling backward - your player fell over him (he didn't see him)and the Ump paid a 50 meter penalty.

Not blaming Subi for this one but rather making the point on Umps effecting games when they should be unnoticed with their influence.

Lastly you would have to concede that Subi has a Hit m high Hit m low (ho-ho)style of play and when it doesn't come off ... your team suffers
It worked at the beginning of the year on us ... it failed yesterday
(and you've got players on report)??

Hard to get physical when your chasing arse most of the day, agreed though, I said to Winger that after watching the replay of the CL game last week, you blokes were intimidating them. You will be hard to beat later on in the year regardless.

Good roundup Growler on the league. Kietel was beaten all day and his inexperience showed through. Saw he was Jordon Lockyer at one stage but not sure if that was all. I did mention it to Brett and he said I was a bit hard on him but having looked at the stats AND WATCHING the game he was out of his depth. Maybe a bit more time in the reserves would help him get that experience.
I am sure many would disagree and look back at the Drama in getting him into the club and see that as an reason to promote him to the League.
There are other players in the Reserves and it will be interesting to see if any changes are made V Perth.

Of course with injuries changes will be inevitable.

Now as for the Ressies. Where the team showed spirit and passion to get back to a draw after looking right out of it. Compliments to Michael Pratt for turning them around at Half time.
It was the worst 2nd qtr of if not qtr of footy I have seen them player where Subi Ressies turned it right around after being at last 4 goals down.

Great game by Razor who lead by example and had his old spark back. Great to see as he hasnt spit the dummy as some do when dropped. Deserves another chance in the League.

Manzone was firing on all cylinders again and played a blinder unfortunately he did strike a Subi play and was reported. What pissed me off was the Subi player ran up while He was being SPOKEN TO BY THE UMPIRE and pushed hard in the back to the ground.
Umpire didnt blink :(

Dont know what Bill was thinking in dropping Drew Rhode back to the reserves as has been performing well in League and handy up forward with a great Mark and kick.
He was heavily involved and IMO best on ground for the Reserves.
With his height and ability couldnt get my head around that one.

Braydon Antonio with 3 goals is comming back to his best form and would be a handy small man in the forward line. Strange but Micale actually said WP need a small forward to get the mix right. Antonio would play a good roll in that role. He has always been solid in the forward line and very skilled player.

Callum Papertalks is finally starting to show his ability and was in a lot of the play even though the stats dont show it.. His 5 goals made the difference. Still not ready for League yet but a couple more good performances could see him making himself available.

Sam Rotham was not performing in the League.. Ok did some good things but it wasnt reflected in this game good move to give him a rest.

Mitchell Pierce and Brodrick Walton had a good game are still a while off for league selection. They are examples of the depth we have at WPFC and great to see. Their patience will pay off if they keep performing each week. The same can be said for a couple of other players.

Brent Fotheringham is a force in the reserves side and always dominent on the ball.
His form has been commendable but as always something comes along to spoil the party
Not confirmed but he went off and it looks like a broken collar bone. Sure he will bounce back and put himself in the running.

Looking at the stats Subi dominated in the Marking and Kicks yet our guys fought hard and drew level.. They are a great team of guys in our reserves and the comradeship they show is commendable. It proves stats dont win a game BUT THE ONE PERCENTERS and TALK win games.

Dare I say it but the umpiring was of a VERY LOW level. Shit where did they get these guys from??? The free kick count does not indicated any side was favoured so that is not the issue. The issue is they missed Numerous Free Kicks the were blatantly obvious infringements. This went both ways.. At times I was happy when we infringed and they let it go but being one eyed was a bit pissed off when we didnt get a kick.
I suppose you can say ok ok no problem but it does NOTHING FOR THE GAME when you see teams busting their guts and not getting rewards for their efforts.

At this stage after seeing SF Reserves and just their strength I would be foolish to say our Ressies can win a GF. But as we all know a lot can change between now and the finals.
Our League side is starting to get a few injuries which will leave the door open as well for the to be elevated. It will weaken our Reserves but that is what it is all about providing a depth enabling us to have the Men to move up. We certainly dont have a problem in the that area with at least 6 of them being ready to play at league level and do the Cardies proud.

Catchya in a fortnight at Lathain.

Great results all round for all our 3 grades.

Interesting point you make GROWLER :) I wonder how many jerks will use the quote function on this post and then throw in a one liner. Have never really worked out why they do that?
Possible because they cant get past one sentence so they use your post to fill the page and then come up with ONE SENTENCE to used TOTALLY out of context to what you said in their argument. :(

As I said I reckon it is fantastic and well done to the club, great day for the WAFL, just asking a legitimate question. I am sure Brett can report on WAFL world the positive spin offs to a great day. Not worried about any attendance records either as I know which clubs have the biggest followings ;)

$8k on the gate and $8k on merchandise I have been reliably informed.

Great result! Maybe a few k on coffee too
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!
