Sorry mate, I have a new phone and only realised at the ground that I no longer have your number to text about catching up. Great result for us, super pressure from both clubs, great feeling to know we can mix it with the best. Bloody brilliant day with 7.5K attending, Teddy has done his calf again, I said to him it could be an omen as he did the same calf in roughly the same round in 2013, he made it back in time to be a premiership !

Great catching up with Leedy / Falcon / Cardy and a few other members on OzFooty. Not a pretty game to watch but a win is a win. To be down one man at the fifteen minute mark of the first quarter and to lose a second man in the last half the boys showed great character today. I thought the umpiring in the seconds was a disgrace but the performance in the league was bloody worse. Addams was fantastic, this bloke will get picked up next year. I thought Loureys game today was his best. What concerns me is the injury list. Fotheringham could be out for the season and with Manning / Jones / Alexander / Teddy and Cody out we may have problems. Today reminded me of WAFL games in the late seventies and early eighties, only the game style has changed.

Winger, I had a chat with Fothers walking to my car, he was very sore and said he will be out for approx 6 weeks, he was obviously disappointed as he said he was just on the verge of playing league. he will be a good player for us going forward I rekn.

Wow! 7,389 is the attendance given at the Arena.
West Perth's percentage rose slightly to 107 and leaves them in second position on the league ladder.A game clear of South Fremantle.

Wonderful day of footy!!
While I’m sure a majority of the crowd may not have been fully cognizant of the game and its significance, it was the whole experience of the day for them that mattered – an introduction to the sport of Australian Rules and how the community gets together to enjoy all its merits and panache – well done to all at West Perth their sponsors and everyone involved to get this day to one of the biggest attendances since the mid 90’s
And of course welcome to Australia for the 70 new citizens, taking their oath, receiving certificates, on the field before the Main League Game … a really nice feel for all in attendance and fittingly acknowledged with applause for all.
Shame and a BIG Up yours to WAFC & Channel bully – you both did little & nothing to help make one of the biggest days in the WAFL calendar a success and yet it still stands almost alone as a wonderful SUCCESS for the WAFL.
It seems if what I’ve read is correct the WAFC heads are now soiling their old undies big time and have been on the phones to WP CEO etc trying to sort the media /channel bully (7) debacle –Might this be as we have shown the $ubi (points rorters) are NOT invincible and the likelihood of WP being in the Finals is very very high - let’s see who comes down from lofty heights …. YA SPINELESS FUCKKAS!!
Now for the game………………………………YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!!
$ubi’s been given a major reality check where big bodies, rough house play, point’s rorting, umpire kissing, have not made you invincible on ‘this day’.
The downs:
Luke Ted once again feels the pop of a Calf … this time on the opposite side to last year … he’s in good spirits from what I saw considering the side time ahead of him. Great competitor and team player, we need him back if at all possible.
Kody Manning was looking to have one of his best days for the year, 4 huge tackles, massive ground pressure, an almost brilliant goal of the year, (twisting off the boundary, rugby style side step, smacking two $ubis backs off him, the kicked ball just slipped the wrong side of the Goal post…and this just in the 1st qtr - & when after an ‘Bolt’esk run out of the centres to bring a $ubi player down caused a strain to his quad, he tried his best to stay on field to help rotations but was put into rehab & ice to get him back ASAP.
Blackie given a massive low tackle in the hips/high thighs that shook him, caused him to be a little fragile for a while.
Kietel, showing considerable courage to take on two $ubi players who gave Blackie a hard time ,, he was the only one coming in bumping & pushing them around – great great stuff young man.
Marcus Adams … what a man and player.. so damned rock steady in defence and besides Kuens a definite BOG effort. I can’t imagine that he’s not on the AFLs radar
Then Kuens the deserved best on ground!! Once again working on his own, proving to all attending his Rucking skills are improving weekly, his desire for the ball is massive, his new baby is obviously bringing joy and a new vigour for life and playing to his practices.
And to all the players – what a gigantic effort with almost no rest through the qtrs. .. a well-deserved BIG win, they fought and fought and then when wanting to lie down … fought again!
As for a report on $ubi
Bolland - you’re a wanker and learn to kick goals under pressure Mr Bushwacker
Yarren – where were you?????????????????
Halligan – marvellous kick for points, you got a massive 4 of them
D Manut – will eventually take Mark of the Year.. but get the $ubi style dirt out of your game

Generally $ubi tried to use big body tactics to upset the boys and failed, next time try playing footy – you might have a chance, oh but only if you can kick goals under pressure and we are not EP so get your house in order!!

Just a question on the so called attendance records, how many of those 7389 were free tickets? I don't think you can claim a true record unless they all pay to be honest. Not knocking the day though as its a great initiative and the club should be congratulated and I wish all clubs would come up with something different like that. I would have attendeded for sure if we weren't playing the same day. Brett Raponi actually stated last year too that really what the club needs is a translation from the freebies given out to actual members and $, that's the key. Hopefully for West Perth a few hundred of those come again next week and thereafter and buy memberships
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

1. Get the $ eye patches off your eyes/face....
2. Free kicks don't have to be given to effect a game - they can also be denied (you'd know about that I would think)- :P
3. My usual 90 paragraph synopsis and you pick on 'ONE line' REALLLLLY?
4. Thanks for reprinting my entire blurb again before your little rant hahahahaha and I do mean LITTLE
5. Much like many over ego'd war mongers of yesteryear - your reign is fracturing hahaha Move on :)
