WEST Perth has pulled off its second remarkable comeback in less than three weeks kicking the last 12 goals to come from 42 points down to beat East Perth by 38 points in the first Perth derby of the year at HBF Arena.

West Perth dominated the early stages of the game but failed to capitalise and then East Perth appeared on track for a comfortable win leading by 42 points midway through the third quarter.

However, from the moment Shayne Hille kicked his second goal at the 18-minute mark of the third quarter, West Perth turned things around in stunning fashion kicking the last two goals of the third term, and only nine of the final term to win 17.16 (118) to 12.8 (80).

Yes indeed. Especially after hearing West Perth looked gone for all money ½ way through the third quarter. Being over thirty points behind and not playing well enough. But powered on from late in the third. Not sure what Bill said to the group at three quarter time but had the desired effect.

42 down and we kick 12 straight, this was done like a flick of a switch. Message to the players, your going to send some of us into a cardiac arrest if this continues. Amazing win nevertheless, we have dead set embarrassed the Ferals on a number of occasions over the past decade or so-

Lourey's move was 'pivotal'.
As was Manning's .... and Manning's 2 goals surrounding the siren at 3rds end and 4ths start was the spark and 'game changer'. 1%rs achieved by this boy go unheralded but without them others stats would look less glorious.
Gaudy marched on with mature professionalism as always.
Blacky almost blew the game single handedly I'm afraid - but redeemed himself with the last goal of the match ...
Chook managed to kick straight as can be counted on and be relied to do .. but sadly will be missing when others return...a straight kick wont hold a spot - more strings to the bow are needed
Stryjky .... one of the older heads who holds the team together and ever reliable, more than admirable game
Nelly - amazingly high stats - pity half were without merit, but still as usual a wonderful contributor to the day.
V Berlo - deserves more than often given .. great game.

More players could and should be given congrats here and all deserve a massive congrats from the fans!!!! an absolutely amazing turn around - one of the best of the WAFL this decade (to be proved wrong)

As for Eagles Reserves ... Shame-Shame - pathetic - no heart - no courage - no Good !!

well done on the win tho.....two games pulled out of the hat, will definitely come back to help you come the business end of the season....I seem to remember you boys lost a lot of close ones last year, which bit you in the arse big time when you were scrapping for the finals......

I said to my mate who is a EP supporter that Oakley-Nichols has been handy for us over the years with his undisciplined acts and this was before todays debacle, I thought his 2013 GF off the ball infringement to seal the Flag was good, but his 3 goals in 2 minutes yesterday was his best effort for us yet !
