Big day at Joondalup this week with the International Day and Fair. Subiaco comming off a bye will be fresh and wanting a win to try and get that 2nd spot and WP will want to turn around last weeks game in all grades before the bye. Looking at the Match Facts below we seem to have a good run v Subi at Joondalup

The times have changed so be aware of that.

Colts Friday night at 6pm Joondalup
Saturday
Reserves 1040 at Joondalup
League 0205 Normal start time

Reasons for time changes
We are even more excited to announce that the City of Joondalup will host a Citizenship Ceremony as part of the days events prior to the start of the league game.
Butler Falcons (Sudanese Female Football side) to play the Joondalup Falcons Youth Girls side prior to the match.

Suggest you get there early as parking will be at a premium. They have overflow parking organised but think you have to pay for that.Overflow parking will be available on the Lake Joondalup Baptist College oval.
Parking is $5 per car with entry from Kennedya Drive.

Me will be leaving at 10am for the trek to Joondalup to catch the Ressies

Dont forget to get your free entry tickets off the WPFC site.

Dont want to put a dampener on the game but I cant get my head around the AFL UNITING AUSTRALIA plug on the picture above and on top of the Poster (see above) and them getting mentioned in some of the PR?

This is from the information from the game QUOTE
he promotion is being driven by the West Perth Football District with the support of the West Perth Football Club Board and the West Australian Football Commission.

UNQUOTE

OK we have the WAFC is supporting the game. The WAFC is not the AFL even though they hold the licences for the 2 AFL clubs.

At least in another section they call it Australian Rules Football
Australian Rules Football is embracing these new populations and in celebration the Falcons District will host an International Football Festival on Saturday July 12 as the West Perth Football Club takes on Subiaco Football Club at HBF Arena.

David Crute did go on to say though
If the Falcons can unite our community – AFL can unite Australia,” he said.

Shit David the AFL is certainly not uniting the WAFL and if anything has caused a lot of dissension with the supporters. :(

Now the clanger

In the activities it states
Large Kids Zone with Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, Super Slide, West Coast Eagles inflatable football activities, Sports Activities and more

West Coast Eagles??? What no Dockers :) and lets remember the Eagles are aligned with EP :( Strange to say the least.

Maybe I am reading to much into it and it was just a Miss use of words by the people concerned.. I am glad to see Sala will be playing - Well he is on the poster.

I have nothing against the AFL or the WAFC - NOT!!!!!

Maybe just a typo or two or someone now thinks the AFL encompasses the whole code.
Hey not yet but I suppose it will happen as they are now involved in most AUSTRALIAN RULES codes :(

Yes a big game this one. With West Perth having the approaching bye in R 17, they need a win here or it's all over red rover! Not sure of the poster, I think some one needs a good bloody slap for the sloppy wording!

And teams playing when coming off the break sees more lose than win. So far this season, we've seen 9 losses after a bye and 7 wins after the bye.

Should be a lot of colour on he field as well as Subi are wearing their Naidoc jumpers.
So we have a team wearing NAIDOC jumpers v International jumpers - nah wont go there :)

Will be interesting to see what the umpires or will it be Referees are wearing being the World Cup?

Should be a great day for all and quite a spectacle including the Footy which is the main Event.

And lets not forget the game is also LIVE on ABC TV.

Jumpers to be worn on the day..

Teams for the big one... Shit Subi look good on paper and have been performing well as a team. All the best to them

WP same group depending on ins and outs from the extended list.
Would like to see Mcphee, Lynchy and Antonio get a game but can we afford it?
and who would be drop. After watching the Ressies last week would say Antonio would be the pick of the 3... In the forward line as has been kicking a few

The unfortunate thing is with WP when we are good we are good - when we are bad we are bad.... Lets hope it is a GOOD one this week. Just to bloody inconsistant :(

All the best to the 3 grades on the day and looking forward to a couple of wins.

Out J Thrum,

Reserves Big game for these boys after the effort last week. They are better than what they did but every side has a bad day. Big game to prove themselves this week and it will show whether they are worthy of a final if not GF spot

C Branch, C Chalmers, J Embley, M Geraghty, P Harvey, B King, J Kirwen, T Manzone, B Mcnamara, L Meadows, J Mills, S Money, J Morrow, B O'Regan, D Rohde, K Shannon, D Sorgiovanni, T Sutherland, J Thrum, M Van Berlo, B Walton, B Wilhelm, T Young,

COLTS All the best to the colts boys. They were written off as the Easy beats early in the season but have proven on any given day they are capable of a win. Unlucky last week because a win would of given them a chance for the top four.
1 point qtrs are just not good enough. Enjoy your game on Friday night
Will be keeping an eye on that on WAFL ONLINE.
