I have to say that we are up against it this weekend

Name day event with big crowds - usually we havent won
Home Game - usually we havent won
2 x players celebrating milestones - usually we havent won
Our Toppsy Turvey Season - usually we dont win

BUT with all that going for us and with the luck of a mongrel, theirs a chance we could come out and smash em
Im looking forward to the day actually and no matter what I just want to see the boys have a crack and not to play keepings off
Lets win one for the GIPPA (its american but it sounds good)

My thoughts on the games. Our failures this season cannot be placed on the Coaches or the Match selection comittee's head. They are good at what they do. Our playing group is strong but are just not achieving the results.

League

I am going to be very interested to see what Bills Match plan will be this week.
Obviously last week it didnt work with the forwards moving up the ground.
Slick was on his own when we moved forward on a few occasions and it just didnt work.
Not having a go at Bill as he had to try something different and it didnt work.
Last qtr when it was to late he moved men down forward eg Striker but it was to late and the players had run out of leg speed.

Dont really want to see our lineup change that much just the clubs match plan being changed. We will have to move the goal posts so they are wider as we are kicking a lot of points :)

Striker will have to start down back because he was a brick wall down there and his getting the ball forward was brilliant but we had no one down forward.

Seva seemed to have a touch of the fumbles and dropped a few he should of marked.
Would like to see Crispy get more involved as his disposal and general play down forward on a good day is a match winner.

There is no doubt on paper we have a good side who should be able to counter Subi
If Jonesy,Kerr,Gaudy,Rodda,Van Berlo,Rassa,Adams, Manning (who only had 4 disposals last week) Looking at that list if these players fire along with
Nelly and Blacky playing their high possession games we should romp it in.

Ruck isnt a problem with Chris back to his old self

Yep I know easy to say but there are no excuses looking at the players I Have mentioned. Teddy is playing some good footy as well. Left a couple out but they are the guys who are doing the job e.g Striker etc

Cant how bringing up any ressies with the exception of Antonio being positive

Coaches call and Bill is putting his best team on the field but the players are letting him down. We have to hit our targets and tackle in numbers for a start. This hasnt been happening. To many passengers in the side who are willing to stand back when they are a little bit tired.

Reserves

Big game for Paul Sanzone and his group. This game is critical if we are to progress in the season with a bye comming up. Subi are on top and have won 11 and lost 2
Not an easy game but it will show where we are at.
Up to last week our guys completely dominated and our tackling didnt let the opposition get a leg in. Last week v Swans was a disgrace to put it lightly.
I feel the guys were getting ahead of themselves and expected to run on and win. With that attitude you will never win a game. Sure Paul will have their minds back in order this week. Ok we might lose it but if we are close we will show we can take it up to the best of them.
I would love to go to Pattersons and see this group play in another GF. Turning last years result around. We will also show we have the depth and the players to move into the 2015 season.

Ladder Reserves

Colts

The colts have surprised me and they are having a late run home. They have lost a couple of games THEY should of won and they know that.
Still a chance of a Finals spot and just to achieve that after so many player losses this year would be commendable. The coach Craig Thomas is doing wonders with these boys and all looks good for their futures.

Great win by the Colts percentage a bit low but have a chance to get to the Four
Hopefully EF can knock over EP tommorrow and the we have a huge bottleneck
in the Ressies. Well done to Craig and the team who seem to be improving week to week

Part Preview by Chris Pike

westperthfc.com.au/news/6356/round-16-preview-v-subiaco

In PART

West Perth has now fallen three games outside of the four following last week's loss to Swan Districts and another loss to the third-placed Subiaco will mean that the Falcons finals chances are just about officially over.

West Perth has been unable to build any momentum all season along coming off last year's premiership.

The Falcons lost their first two matches of 2014 to East Fremantle and Claremont before bouncing back with wins over Perth and East Perth.

West Perth then lost two straight games again this time to Swan Districts and South Fremantle before once more rebounding with successive wins over Peel Thunder and Subiaco.

Since then, West Perth lost to East Perth, beat Claremont, lost to East Fremantle, beat South Fremantle and then last week lost to Swan Districts at home.

All of that means that the Falcons virtually have to win all their remaining seven matches this season against Subiaco, East Perth, East Fremantle, Swan Districts, Claremont, Perth and Peel Thunder in order to make the finals in 2014 and to defend their premiership.

Subiaco won its first five games of 2014, then lost three of four matches between Rounds 7-10 and now have regained its best form with three wins from its last four matches prior to the bye last weekend.

Jack Thrum goes out of the West Perth side after copping a heavy knock in the opening minutes last week against Swan Districts that saw him sidelined for the rest of the afternoon.

West Perth is then weighing up several options of players to come into the team with forward Max Alexander a chance to come in and make his official WAFL debut having already played in two Foxtel Cup matches this year.

Brayden Antonio was best afield last week in the reserves with 29 possessions and two goals to put himself back in the mix to play his 14th league match since making his debut in X012.

Aidan Lynch has also emerged this year into a midfielder of note for the future and he's a chance to come into side this week to make his first appearance in the league side just weeks after being best afield in the Foxtel Cup semi-final win over the Western Storm at Patersons Stadium.

Lively half-forward Mitch McPhee is in the mix for West Perth as well having also done well with three goals in that Foxtel Cup win over the Storm.

Subiaco had the bye last weekend following its win over Peel Thunder, but that hasn’t given full-forward Matt Boland enough time to recover from a hamstring injury.

He goes out of the team leading the Bernie Naylor Medal race as the league's leading goalkicker with 38 majors so far this season.

James Garcia and Ryan Wade also go out of the Subiaco side that beat Peel a fortnight ago.

Lachlan Delahunty is back for Subiaco to help make up for the absence of Boland with the versatile big man returning from injury that has sidelined him since the Round 11 victory over Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval.

Dylan Clarke, Chris Deluca, Will Fetherstonhaugh, Craig Hoskins and Simon Moore are all in the mix to play for Subiaco as well.

Almost at the 15 minute mark of the second quarter, and it's going to a hard fought match. Be interesting to hear the attendance figure later on. Going by the tv images, this match being very well patronised with many people at the Arena.
