Would be great to meet him again. As a premiership coach and he did turn the club around

WEST Perth’s clash with arch-rivals East Perth this Monday will double as a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Falcons’ first game at Arena Joondalup.

The then Jeff Gieschen-coached-Falcons defeated the Royals by 21 points in front of a crowd of more than 15,000.

Gieschen, who took West Perth to the 1993 grand final, went on to coach Richmond and become the AFL umpire manager for more than a decade.

Harris, who coached the Falcons to the 2003 premiership, will join Curley and a host of past premiership players, including Bill Dempsey, Mel Whinnen, David Dyson, Bryan Pleitner and Steve Arnott. Past presidents Lew Hasler, Colin Rockman and Brian Atkinson will also attend.

Huge game today. Will be a big task for the Falcons. Plenty of vacancies in the Eagles team after last nights loss which will spur the Royals AFL aligned players. Hopefully a good crowd turns out for this & the Freo Derby. Go West!!!

Mate EP have a few out today.. Maybe Emergencies will come in for them for yesterdays game..EP Have major outs and consider Wulff as a huge out myself as he leads from the front but the other outs are major players. Craig Wulff, Will Schofield, Simon Tunbridge, Sam Butler, Josh Hill and Brant Colledge are out of the line-up

Our lineup is solid and no reason why we wont beat them...
But Footy is a funny game.. We just have to play our game and not theirs.

Still a real WAFL side at the top of the ladder Cardy, not all ist lost yet. Not bad for a team written off with no AFL talent.

Nothing against SD mate they have done it on merit and merit alone.
Suspect in due course they will slip to 2nd and stay there.
3rd and 4th will be the also rans.. who wont be in the finals race for long the way I see it.. With the alignment in place you wont find the Eagles taking players out for ops etc etc to keep EP competitive in the finals and keep up the goodwill.

I dont know about others but it is of concern how things are travelling at the moment

Cardy et al, You beat us fair and square at leedervile by the biggest margin of all time and that was a great performance against a team that had similar numbers of afl listed players in it, yet today WP did not do it. Why. did the coaching staff at EP learn something, did they close down your players , whay was it. I don't know cos I don't stay to watch after the colts, maybe a little of the ressies but that is all,

and honest less acrimonious assessment would be great.
