or do you mean to get the 44 points minimum points to possibly get into finals on wins We have 11 more games to play this year so to get to say 44 we would have to win 7 out of the 11 games... 16 now plus 28 points = 44 Really to be safe we would have to win 8 out of the 11 to finish in 3rd or 4th spot...that allows us 3 losses

So basically 8 clubs if they have a good run are still a chance albeit a small chance.

Great job by all at WP for such a Grand Day - well promoted...great attendance...and more than acquitted them selves against the Eagles.

A little frustrating with the amount of continual passing traffic (bodies ) moving around the oval and sadly in front of me ... but once moving to a better poss... the view improved enormously.
I think the boys did really well against the Eagles and in many ways kicked themselves out of it.
Our Rucks suffered - Kuens hopefully will be all good for the weeks to follow and I wish him the best as he's a soldier we cant afford to lose just now.

I still see several of the West Perth boys giving their all and playing their guts out - while others with high stats are just not being effective and supporting the team.
If this continues our end of year chances will not be fruitful and frustrations will begin to show amongst the boys I fear.

But once again - a close and enjoyable game that 'could have been won' which says great things about the boys!!!and very little about the EAGLES ROYALS
Well Done to the prezz the coaches the staff and the players on a great event - thank you....
And to the WAFL ... get stuffed - you did nothing!

I think Falcon was referring to the number of games that AFL listed players needed to play in the WAFL to qualify for the finals. It is still 5 but that rule doesnt apply if their AFL parent is playing finals.

Thought that was the rule under the Host club arrangement but with the alignment it would have to vary.. But then again can see it working and would not allow the Eagles to stack the side in Finals with players.. But then again they still have an advantage
It would be interesting to go back through the games on the WAFL ONLINE and see how many have qualified up to round 10 even? Over a season Dawson would still have a nice list to pick from I suspect..

It was nice having Hutchy in the GF for WP last year... Gee and he was only 1 player

Over the season they will have more qualify than you actually think. They have over 10 now regularly playing, and with only 5 games to qualify that isn't that many games over a season...especially with the way the Eagles are going atm you think changes to the team will happen.

For me I would rather see more WC players in their team come finals...meaning less EP lads and massive disharmony. It will surely lead to EP lads spewing and hopefully leaving the club come season end. Maybe then the EP supporters might actually smell the coffee, but hey...I wont be holding my breath.

Thats 14 players.....scary really. As well as this Hutchings is on 3 so he will probably qualify as well and who knows if the Eagles season starts going down hill a number of other players may drop back for weeks if their AFL form drops away

Shit thanks Mike that is frighting..If even that lot fronted up it would be hard for any team to match it in the G7.

I also noticed the channel 7 OB van with satellite dish was there at the game as well. Must be practising for their TV rights next year? They are sponsers of EP as well I notice.. The plot thickens.
