I also noticed the channel 7 OB van with satellite dish was there at the game as well. Must be practising for their TV rights next year? They are sponsers of EP as well I notice.. The plot thickens.
Will they only do EP or Peel games or maybe only EP games and whoever they play?

Come finals any G7 team will be playing with passion for their club...there players will be thinking end of season trip mate, and couldn't give 2 rats about an EP premiership...that my friend will be the difference!!!

Hate to be Negative but they will top the ladder and win the GF and most probably the Foxtel cup as well..

But hey to be positive lets just enjoy the G7 games for what they are and enjoy our footy.. :)

Never heard so little noise from the grand stand or in the outer. A game that lacked quality didn't help, basically a good five minutes by our talls won the game. A crowd of juniors whilst making the attendance look good probably adds to the amount of neutrals watching. I think the alignment has perhaps taken the sting out of the derbies.

After sorting the wheat from the chaff I suspect your comment abt the time taken for the merger to take effect is spot on!

As for who I support I support the Colts and the boys who have come through the colts during my tenure who now play in the Reserves and the odd one who plays a league game.

As for the other stuff, it has all been said before and doesn't need me to add to the issue.

Agree it has all been said before and will be said again. Wont achieve much
Time to take a deep breath and just move on.. That game is history and must look at the next game and enjoy the footy

Got a bit of water off the chest and that was good.. :)

Looking forward to the next couple of games v CLA and EF.. If we play like we did yesterday we will and should win both.

Grump I certainly dont hold anything against the Regular players at EP in all grades and it is not their fault. The supporters have to make their own minds up but it must hurt to see your club go this way. They are struggling with the concept as well and I admire them for their Perseverance..

I agree totally...
After yesterdays game and how it ebbed and swayed I have a belief in the boys to get the job done.
They did so well against a stacked and over coached one half professional side that it has to put as a question in the minds of those at AFL level.

Dont mean to down the potential AFL players but to be honest the WP team took it to them on so many levels and while it may sound like sour grapes if the footy gods had been kinder with our on field injurys on the day - the outcome could likely have been altered....

Yes I appreciate that the manner of the game is a 'contact sport' and the likely hood for either side to lose a player is high and have the same consequence to a games outcome, but some apprecaition of the inserted player being from an AFL stable (more so pre game due to injuries)has to be weighed into it I think...

Not a winge - more an observation
Once again though I look forward to the upcoming games against same-same sides filling the ranks opf teams from their own stables and not the corporate ones.

We're not Facebook though...

Not only do we not have a like button, but we don't have advertising, annoying popups, friend suggestions, and most importantly don't invade your privacy.... see no like button, but we are better, I promise ;)

I was there and thought the crowd was boisterous when WP were up and and about and dead as when EP kicked a goal. More went to this game than Freo Derby and i had a bloody good time. You cannt deny the punters showed up. Hope the AFL saty away from the day now for good
