An update from Perth President today he wrote that the Town of Victoria Park was committed to the development of Perth’s new headquarters and construction should start later next year. By my reckoning that is a 12 month delay, previously our current facilities were due to be pulled down at the end of this season. Understandable there would be a delay given COVID-19.

There won’t be any move to the WACA by the Perth FC.

wp have had one of their most successful eras since moving north, having done the following:

kept their name
endurred vw
endurred a weak zone

Can people tell me how changing its name would fix the above problems? Only friendly councils or state governments or friendly commissions could do so.

Ark as Leedy pointed out the other day about 95% of WP’s league list is from their zone and they regularly over a long period of time have one of the highest numbers of 100 plus game players from their zone. What makes you say they have a weak zone?

I’d say Perth and East Perth have the weakest zones. I think East Perth have Ellenbrook, a sore point with Swans supporters. Name me one new growth area the Perth Football club has in their zone?

WCE Lathlain Precinct development a bit of a growth zone DD for the PFC...financially and player wise.

Makes you wonder why South Melbourne changed their name to Sydney? - as it does not make any difference. But why worry about changing it to Sydney or Joondalup, in the Munchers case, because the diehard fan (or whoever for that matter) can just call them what they want anyway.

The Joondalup CBD is larger than any other "suburb" a WAFL team identifies with. It rivals the size of the Perth CBD.

Imagine all those businesses with $$ to sponsor.

Most of you are well aware we have gone down the path of a name change and had actually implemented it and it generates squat ! I am quite happy to make a change of name with reference to the WPFC (Like we did many years ago) if there is a financial benefit, local Business told us of the importance of the name linked to the area but naught actually put their money where their mouth is.

Let's pretend a competition is starting from scratch in WA, instead of the early 1900s it's 2020.

Jindalee is not going to be the first name chosen to host a team.
