The fixtures are all over the place. We play 5 of our last 6 games at home. Where is the balance, obviously a lot of away games early in the season. Surely it’s not that hard to have a more even distribution.

Two other players mentioned at the AGM they reckon will be handy, young Jacob Peletier from $ and Samuel Stubbs.

On what basis would it be upheld? Is there some legal basis or just the tendency of the arbitrator to be weak? There is a wider issue at stake here. WAFL clubs routinely clear players who are not getting an opportunity at league level, and rightly so. But to allow a required player to break his contract would set a very poor precedent. It would be extraordinary if the WAFL makes noises about wanting Perth to become stronger, then, as well as docking us 20 points, allows one of out best 6 players to go to a rival club - a club that is recruiting heavily and seems supremely confident of finishing ahead of Perth this year.
