How come Claremont were so inaccurate? Good pressure by Perth or bad footy by the Tiges?

Not being biased BC, it was our pressure. our backline was v impressive and they never got any space and only a handful of marks inside 50. Better team def won.

A bit of both. They play a shit brand of high possession switch footy which pushed a lot of their entries wide. Took them until the last quarter to start moving the ball quick and direct

Not sure where that win rates so far this season. Ugly game, the scoreline says it all so a lot of frustration for supporters of both sides. But it was a win over Claremont at Lathlain, a rare result. Usually when we beat the Tigers it's on their home ground for some strange reason.

Giblett and Sinclair were absolutely outstanding. Those two and Bennell's 4 goals were the difference. Brave effort by Claremont down two men for much of the game but we couldn't put them away. If we can show a bit more composure with the ball in hand we will be a much better side. Garstone needs to start clunking a few marks. Chris Bryan is getting better and I thought Langdon showed a bit today and young Kasey Nicholas was also outstanding.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

I was just looking at the game stats where they had 20 more inside 50's, more possessions and scoring shots which produced 5.13 that's all. I know stats don't tell the whole picture so thought I'd ask someone who was there. Well done by the way. really looking forward to when we play you guys. It'll be a great test for both teams.

I would say that more than half the extra inside 50's were in the 1st 10 minutes of the last quarter - Claremont had the ball inside their 50 for a long time and Perth were lucky they continued to kick points. Backline stood strong all day. Perth playing with some confidence, able to hit consecutive targets (something they havn't been able to do for a long time) & a really good brand of footy to watch as a spectator.

This was a significant win today IMO. At 4 and zip a line was drawn in the sand. We have been here before and been destroyed by a side
like Claremont in that 5th game. Now we are Hawaii 5-0 as someone alluded to.
Yes, the Tigers were wasteful up front but our pressure was relentless.
The boys are gaining in confidence and self belief and are expecting to win every week.
Gibba was superb today. Took some timely contested marks and hassled their forwards all day. BOG without doubt. Langdon showed
some good signs and Chris Bryan is proving to be a very good get.
Once again tackles 74 to 55, a bit down on our average of 80 plus, but again highlighted the pressure we were able to sustain.
Kicking accuracy 47% to 27% again pressure. Disposals per goal 37.5 to 62 so we didn't waste it. Inside 50s 35 to 54 we need to lift that.
Overall a very good effort to sustain pressure and never let up.
The supporters are getting very energised.

Can't get over the transformation.
Why is Sinclair not in the state side.

Giblett, Lague and Bryan have been terrific.
Have really warmed to Bryan with his run poise and disposal.
Giblett is unbelievable.
What a difference fitness makes.
For me Bennell is not a state footballer.
He flashes in and out and is good at times but needs to compete harder.

Frankly if all of the Claremont guys and Subi guys get in the state side I am afraid questions need to be asked. Because there are some Perth players that can count themselves extremely unlucky.

Agree DF, if Sinkers doesn't go in someone doesn't like him cos on form he's a certainty. Tayls in state footy form too. And on a different note how good was Kasey Nicholas today too. Quite a backline hey. Unfortunately forward line is completely misfiring. No garstone again. No Lachie Dennis again. No Carey this week. Wins are wins and I don't want to whinge about anything but forwards need to lift.
