By the looks it seemed like Sammy Butler tore Souths a complete newey today. Where exactly did he play, with his stats must of been onball seemed to dominate from the outset.

Butler played off the half back flank and was superb, particularly his disposal by foot.

So were Risol and Sketcher. Both have been impressive in the first two games.

I'm liking the look of Sinclair & Boyle.

Sinclair looks poised beyond his years and his disposal is really good.

Boyle is the surprise for me, he has surprising pace and is a goer.

Evert team have players out, we were missing Stack, Busher, Murray and Leeson..big deal that SF were missing players...every team have players unavailable...

Good to see the Reserves have a win with Arrangio kicking 4 goals, could be close to a league call up...no Brad Fry in the reserves game?

Agree every team clutches at straws when they get done. South are having a real crack at it. And to be honest we'll do it soon enough but you just have to be honest and suck it up when you get done

I think Chris Billings is having a year off boys. Would have loved to have him out there but oh well, got to roll with the punches haha.

Just from yesterdays game I think Fraser McInnes needs a spell in the reserves. The Eagles are playing Brant Colledge there hence why Harrison Morgan who kicked 3.2 in the last scratch match isn't playing. McInnes's positioning looks all wrong to me. At times yesterday he was just jumping at the footy and completely missing it. I reckon he's a good player and has a bright future but maybe send him back to the 2's for a couple of weeks. Would McInnes be getting a game at East Perth?

Others to come in next week

Daniel Murray Was dropped for disciplinary reasons and should come straight back into the league squad. Was limping slightly during the league game, hopefully it's not to serious.

Brant Colledge If McInnes get's dropped to the 2's does Colledge come in? Doubt the Eagles would want two key talls playing in the reserves.

Joel Houghton Going ok in the reserves without setting the world on fire. If he can string a good 3-4 games together then he might find is way back into the league team.

Julian Jacobs 19 possessions, 7 marks and 2 tackles in the reserves yesterday. Might come straight in as a replacement for Sam Butler, if Butler is named in the Eagles squad to take on Hawthorn.

David Johnston Played all the scratchies from memory and missed round one with an arm injury. If it wasn't for that would have played round one IMO. Was eased back throught the reserves and had 20 possessions, 6 marks and 1 inside 50.

Ashley Smith Might be dropped from the Eagles as Butler may take his place.

Brennan Stack Why did he miss. He didn't play reserves either. Is he injured or did he miss for family or work reasons?

Daniel Arangio Is continuing his good form for the colts last year in the reserves and allready has 6 goals this season. If he continues they way he is going we might see him debut sometime over the next month or two.

Jarrad Irons Had 20 possessions, 6 marks and 3 tackles for the reserves in round one. Hasn't played since. Is he injured?

Simon Tunbridge Did he get a two or three week suspension. If it's two then he'll be back this week.
