Six of one and half a dozen of the other PN. Some left because they did not want to play for Perth, whatever their reasons. Some were moved on because they were not seen to fit the culture or the team makeup. There does come a time when players have been around the club are no longer seen to have a future at the club so they are released to try their luck elsewhere.
I speak purely from what I hear from people around the club and some from my own personal opinions.

Surely K-T and McDougall weren't moved on ???

On another point was having a look for some of the players that left the club in the offseason...no sign of Doogs at Subi..i wonder if he has retired, also noticed Matt Rogers yet to play a league game for Swans, but named to play reserves...I wonder how long he will cop that for??

Rogers has actually been out injured!

And McDougall is obviously on a program to get him fit to resume playing, remembering how long it took him to have surgery at Perth? Seems no one there was capable of persuading him to get it done! BH i reckon Rogers would have played league in round 1 if he didn't get injured, would I be right? Having said that it would be no disgrace if it takes him time to break into the midfield you have at the moment though I think you've been playing him as a forward.

On Daniel Murray, surprise, surprise!! Damian McMahon having trouble with player discipline?? Not again? How unlucky is the guy? Max Duffy (Freo draftee), Llane Spanderman (led SD ruck to a premiership 2 years before he arrived at Perth), Leon Davis (AFL AA in his last year before coming home to Perth), Aaron Elari (Prendergast Medalist) and Matt Rogers both came up through the system under guess who and these players character has been brought into question by the mug coach in season previews. Quite an impressive list and i haven't even mentioned Ross Young's departure and KT and McDougalls defection to Subiaco.

What a joke this club is, early indications are Daniel Murray is the best ruck recruit since Warren Carlyle in terms of his size and mobility. Does this coach think he is coaching an AFL club? These guys play for peanuts and they have to earn a living outside of football. What do they expect at this club, players to be down the beach at 5am for a rehab session? The bloke was the best ruckman on the ground FFS. Smart coaches "manage" their best players and make allowances, not this dunderhead.

This year it has been made clear what is expected of all players and those who did not like the team rules have chosen to move on.

We will never ever again be successful onfield unless and until all the players, without exception, adopt without question the expected levels of discipline both on and off the field.

Yes, there can be times when a player will have work or family issues which may interfere with training or rehab commitments. Surely there can be no problem so long as the player advises the club and is given the OK. That is player management.

But being absent from or late for a team commitment without an acceptable excuse is unacceptable and players should be prepared to "cop it sweet" and not "spit the dummy" as we have seen so often.

IMO it matters not who the player is. If it is a Ross Young who offends he cops the penalty for his indiscretion just as any other player should.

DD, your suggestion that any disciplinary offence by a player is the fault of the coach is ludicrous. All players know what the team rules are and if they want to be selfish instead of being a team player then they are in the wrong place.
There is no "i" in team. The onus is fully on the players.

It will be interesting to see whether or not Murray plays ressies tomorrow if it is a disciplinary thing. I hope he does.

There is a I in Mcmahons team

Sam Butler comes in and Danierl Murray and Dene White are omitted. Murray is out through disciplinary reasons and Dene White is left out as one player had to be cut so the aquad could be cut down from 23 players.

Sam Butler usually gives us good service so that's a positive but the big issue here is Murray. Did he just miss a training session, was late or is it something more serious?

I reckon Murray is a big omission and this game becomes fifty fifty for me now.

Jacob Martinez (9 games), Adam Guglielmana (56 games), Brendon Gulley (25 games) and Craig White (139 games return for the Bullgogs.

Early match ups that we could see.

Dylan Ross v Mitch Leyendekkers/Fraser McInnes

Ryan Cook v Brett Hodge

Sean Tighe v Christian Eyres/Mitch Leyendekkers

Will be interesting to see where Andrew McCarrey plays. Does he go back and play on one of our tall forwards or with the Ben Saunders out does he go forward?

Looking forward to the game and hope the Demons can play well and take home the 4 points :)

He must of left the toilet lid up as well ffs player's getting left out for disciplinary reasons is beyond a joke now, maybe theres a lack of respect for the coach.

Anyway on to todays game thought Bevan was bog, Boyle impressed me as well but lets not get to far ahead of ourselves Peel and Sowfs are ordinary big tests to come in Swans and EF.

I wouldn't get too excited about that either.

You beat us by 2 goals with half a dozen of our best 22 out and you were handed on a silver platter the game by 3 absolute weak dogs who umpired a game of football today in a fashion that has left me utterly bewildered.

33 - 8 was the free kick stats to Perth. DO NOT believe the 25 - 11 shite on the website, I kept my own and that was it including 5 50m penalties.

Just one sided from the get go.

Riemers and Bevan killed us and small to mid forwards will do that to us all year.
SFFC - WOOF WOOF
