Giblett is a real prospect , he could be good at Half-Forward with his height for you guys or down back - this guy needs Earl to bang 6 or 7 games consecutively into him to bring it out , reckon the Royals would be silently spewing on this one mate

Cheers for that insight Southerner sounds promising. I thought I read that McFarlane was from Victoria?

What did Warnie say can't kick, can't mark and a shocking attitude. One thing about Giblett though he does have the frame to play football. Has shown glimpses of talent but I would doubt he will make a long term WAFL player. From what I saw of the talented Perth colts your resources would be better used keeping them in the system.

one player you guys have that I don't think has really taken the step up completely is young Marshall.

I'd love to see him tear apart the WAFL. Is he still on the list?

I didn't put anything down as to McFarlane's origin mate , just cannot nail it & you could be right as to the Vicco link.
He had one very good season for Mandurah , but then just left not long after - if Earl can get him up it's depth & competition.

Do you mean Marshall Jones? If so yes he is still on the list.

Pretty sure he was still eligible for colts last season.

Yes that's who I mean ... he looked a draft prospect as a 17 year old

Some country lads take time , this is one of them mate - and let's face it he had a hell of a big ask getting regular time at an alignment , he'd still be with you guys if it didn't exist in a nutshell

Getting Colledge & Smith back is gold , adds another dimension inside the square , these other top-up recruits will only add to the depth & start competition for spots
If anyone has sat down for a beer with Earl he'd have told you that himself and he'd die for it.
Sure Mzungu slipped through but that was Cherry on top stuff there was a chance he'd get snapped up.

As one of the Perth posters rightly said both Colledge and Smith have a lot to prove at the WAFL level. Colledge on paper looks the goods height and weight wise, be interesting to see how he does out of an AFL environment. Whilst Smith he went backwards at Carlton and struggled in the VFL, touch wood the bigger grounds here in WA will see him recover his dash.

Think most footy fans are very surprised that Mzungu got another AFL gig. As a Perth fan I would be gutted he is gonna spend the next year running around in the NEAFL instead of the WAFL, would of thought some of those SF boys in Garlett, Shaw or Newton were more of a chance of scoring an AFL gig next year over Tendai.
