Yes Smokey there should be a lot of benefits from the ground sharing arrangement with the Eagles and us no longer being the sole tenant, better facilities and I imagine a high profile sponsor such as SGIO might like to be the ground naming sponsor which we should receive a fair slice of considering we are the only ones that will be playing there but the naming rights sponsor will get a good plug everytime the TV network crosses for a news story.

I just question if Marty, or anyone at the club now Vince has passed has the business acumen to negotiate these things in our clubs best interests?

On the contrary you need to be building and growing sponsorship. Phoenix Shutdown Services was our major sponsor, we've lost them and our secondary sponsor Provident Capital Partners (a Perth supporter) has taken over as the major sponsor. I would say our sponsorship has declined under MA./quote]

Phoenix Shutdown Services was put into liquidation in late 2015.

What exactly did you want Marty to do to keep them on as your major sponsor? Not sure he has influence on a declining resourc s sector!

Replace them you nong that's part of the CEO's job not the janitor. Brian Leys had a background in sales and marketing and he was there when Browne's came on board, got a solar company on board fitting panels on the toilet block giving us a nice credit on our electricity bill and got a radio station on board for something I can't remember what it was. Hence why I question his business credentials.

Well you wont have to worry about that.

FYI there are already agreements in place to protect Perth's interests at Lathlain.

There are a number of sponsors on board now that would not be there other than their association with Marty at both Peel and Wesley.
I think generally our sponsorship is doing okay.
Success would help add to it.

In your own words he replaced the major sponsor. Did he up sell the second teir sponsor and bring in other sponsors at a lower level potentially maintaining the same sponsorship income?

I would think it was prudent to offer a current sponsor the opportunity to upgrade with a major sponsor not able to continue on.

You could probably tell me Redlegs you seem to comment a lot on the Perth thread. You seem to have a keen interest though unsure if you are a supporter or have an association with the club or someone in it.

Just drawn to the meaningful, intelligent commentary that Grassy continually provides.

And the boys on the Swans thread are far to precious about having to stay on topic and delete you if dare to have a different view point. Bunch of princesses!!
