Mr AFL His stats would indicate he doent get a lot of the ball,he has been in the system for a while,played a hell of a lot of ressies games and at 24 years of age next season you would think his time to prove himself has well and truly passed him by.

The trouble is because over the journey we have been a weak team these fringe players from other clubs come to us thinking a league game will be easier to come by and in some cases that has been true.

Its time the club moved some of these points players on,they were fringe players at the clubs they came from and have been no different with us.

Spot on 30+.
Easy to say yes to a fringe player that walks in to the club and call it recruiting.
These fringe players deny our kids opportunities.
We need to turnover from within the more we do the more we will find in our own backyard.
FFS we got Ransted back from Victoria and called it recruiting.

We have to get more professional and that means saying no to some of these players.
Yes we have had value out of Tropiano Wolfenden and McKenna that was astute allowing some of the others to come was not, but we were happy to call it recruiting.

Hopefully we have learnt and recruiting from other clubs will be that recruiting not allowing guys to just walk in off the street. By all means let them train to see what they have but if they don't show value move them on straight away.

It should be a privilidge to wear the red and black.

He is still on our list so I take it he is still living in hope.

Well deserved if he does get the call. We will then need to find another hard at it midfielder to top up the onballers.

Talking about the 'Tall forward' we are in need of is Spencer White from STK from all reports, which is a great addition.
Stephen Mills is a key back that is extremely athletic, smart with the ball and has great skills for someone who is 6'6. He was with the GC Suns for a year and obviously didn't fit in with South and their structures or another player that was poorly managed by south (and theres been a lot of them in recent years!). He'll be a good addition, most likely slot in as a key back with Latch freeing up Johnson as a third tall IMO. But we will see.

Spencer White has played 2 AFL games in 3 years at STK with few stats to show. He has played mainly with Sandringham in the VFL with modest stats but it also appears that he has spent a lot of time with their development team (?? Ressies) again with modest stats.

He was drafted in 2012 draft with fanfare as the new Buddy Franklin.
Hope he can deliver the 50 to 60 goals we need from him.

Interesting info on Stephen Mills. Seems he has been recruited as the tall back that we need. We shall have to wait and see if he does slot into a key defensive position.

I hope that we get full value for the points we have spent on all recruits.

Maybe Jones was helpful in the evaluation/recruiting process.
Both White and Mills are youngins (20/21) so we need to back the FD and see.

He may get a rookie listing but I think it is a long shot because he wasn't invited to the draft combine like Adams, Broad and Yarran were. I must admit its got me perplexed because the three times I saw him during the year when Perth played Swans he looked every bit a ready made AFL recruit and he won a Sandover Medal in a team that won 2 games for the season. What more can you do? I'm sure you guys won't be complaining if hes at Lathlain again next year though
