The sad truth is that on paper that may well be how the side will look.
There are too many preponderals to confidently predict anything at this stage.

The plain facts are that our losses outweigh the gains and we have not addressed sufficiently the deficiencies in tall KPPs, ruckmen, and a tougher and quicker midfield.

I hope that we have cleared the transition paths enough to allow a few young kids to show what they have and in turn they may well step and surprise us. I am, after all, the eternal optimist.

I expect that we will win no less than 3 or 4 games. There will be a lot of pressure on Earl Spalding and IMO he has been handed the most poisoned chalice imaginable. I don't expect miracles but I am willing to wait and see what he delivers before passing judgement.

Note well SFFC4ever, the big danger for your club or any other will be dropping a game to Perth. It will happen to your utmost embarrassment. So beware.

problems I see here are
- billings will keep getting suspended
- leeson is fair weather
- chance hasn't the hamstrings

I don't know who Brown is - can someone tell me please?
I haven't seen Latch so no comment.

I reckon Power could be ok.
Boyal and Hunt good but same size as White and Tropiano. Throw Hug into that mix as well.

Any word on Teddy?

Yes no big mane recruits of yet or any that have looked to address the needs of our team in terms of KPP. It would appear from the players that we have signed, with the exception of Brent Latch, that we are just stocking up on blokes that either play in the middle or can run through there.

I know it's not ideal but you would have hoped that the club would have invited 4-5 of the best KPP from A-Grade last year down to training to see how they would go over preseason and if any of them would be worth a place in the team for 2015.

As I said it's not ideal, I would much rather a KPP recruit with some runs on the board but it appears that we aren't going to recruit any of those.

Still though like Smokey I will be the eternal optimist and hope that we have a bucket load of surprises to come....
