WB,the club does keep in touch on a regular basis with our AFL listed players. I would be most surprised if they did not have discussions with Glassy after he announced his retirement.
I don't think that we can claim Sam Butler but like our home grown guys we would still be in touch with the interstaters. Sam seems well settled in Perth and if he decides to retire but play WAFL he would be a prime target for the club.

I was under the impression that if Sam Butler was to play WAFL for the Demons he would only be worth 5 points.

I think that you will find that he would be at least 10 points. Mitch Morton is 10 and Paul Bevan was 11. Butler is not an original Perth player.

I've been banging on for years our lack of quality talls right accross the board.
Yet this football club still refuses to address it.
Had our recruiting over the years centred around recruiting some quality KP's im sure we would have participated in finals by now!
We have recruited plenty of flankers and utilities but left the good quality talls alone.

The worry?
Spalding himself was a KP forward yet he has now been duped into not recruiting any like those before him!!

I think it is because he has played with the Demons whilst at the Eagles and has almost notched up 50 games. That's what I got told last year anyway.

As you would be well aware 30+, if you are an employee you have to do what your employer wants.
In this case unfortunately no-one has any confidence that the employer knows what the hell they're doing.

Have heard that Brennan Stack has been offered $850 a game by one of the Northam teams. Im assuming it Feddies where Ali Smith plays.
