Thats the trouble,good club like yours goes out and gets Brock and Rory O'Brien from Peel.

30+.....don't forget over the years PFC have recruited Bevan, Davis, Morton x 3, Young, Spaanderman etc all guys with good if not even better CV's than ROB/BOB, McGough and Young....easy to look back in hindsight and say some were poor choices but at the time they were good picks with elite experience.... AFL premierships, A/A selections, top ten draft picks etc.....in all honesty to me Peth's problem is the lack of movement/development in their mid tier players or the constant over rating of these players by Perth fans and the PFC footy management......don't forget also EF have won as many premierships as Perth since 1998.......

You are right Freezn. We have had plenty of good gets in past few years. Young and Bevan were outstanding, Risol was handy but had to punch above his weight, but for one reason or another the others did not deliver the goods.

Bad player attitude, bad man management and questionable coaching/game plans have all contributed to the club's inability to break the drought. Add to that the transition paths clogged with players who were never going to be good WAFL players resulting in many talented players leaving the club to play ammos or country footy. How many of those could have achieved success if given the opportunities earlier.

It does appear that there will be a new look Perth this year with many players finally moving on and providing others with the opportunity to step up and have an impact at senior level.

Will that be enough to move the club up the ladder, even play finals? Perhaps not but hopefully the results will be a big improvement and be a catalyst for the ensuing years.

Surely Irons, McKenna, Hodge and Billings would be in your best 22? If not you must be going alright.

Is Stacky playing this season? I did hear before Xmas that his work at WF might be an issue.

Have McKenna and Billings on the bench. With regards to McKenna I think he will be a handy pick up but would like to see how he goes in the practice games first to see where he might be playing this year.

To be honest I completely forgot about Hodge and Irons. Hodge would definitely be in the starting 18 and I'm not sure where to place Irons. Was used in the backline the last couple of years but in my opinion it seems like he never really found his position in the side. He's got some games under his belt and then gets injured or dropped. He's one player that has shown glimpses and I have been waiting for him to take the next step and play consistently of the half back flank or in the middle.

That would be just great considering the club doesnt really want to recruit any type of forward.
Stack is probably the closest thing we have to a key forward and we all know Stacky can kick a few when on song but can also go missing for weeks on end.

Reckon to those puting up "likely line ups" forget it,the clubs looking for new members those line-ups would be turning people off.

Heard a guy named Todd Stevenson is down with you guys at the moment, played at CBC the last few years and Horsham district league before that 6"4' midfielder, can anyone let me know how he goes, used to play with him a few years ago was a gun in our league

I know we have had good gets that we have recruited my post was more about us trading players,we havent done well in this form of recruiting.

Maybe we have won as many premierships as you since 98' but how many GF's and finals have you participated in since then...we havent been in any!!
Most Dee's supporters would give up anything to be in just one.
