every club has their "Ransted" I reckon.....problem with Perth is they seem to have a few too many Ransteds......Houghton,Stack,Fry,Manuel, Deaves and Florio......all possess that frustrating consistency for looking good on an inconsistent basis........even White was like that before his break out year in 2014......hopefully all the above can follow Denes lead next year......

Good points Freezer. Those blokes are very frustrating. Florio mostly. He's 6.3 runs like the wind but is as soft as a marshmallow. Hopefully Stack finds form coz he can seriously play when at his best. Hasn't missed a session yet so fingers crossed for a big year for him

That's great news about Stack.
He has more ability in his little fingers than Fry and Deaves.
Happy to persist with Houghton, Manuel and Florio.
Stack has undoubted ability it just looked to me he wasn't playing for the coach.
Although why he was playing reserves has me flabbergasted.

Must work very hard to get Teddy & Ali back to the club.

You get a player that seems to have walked back in the door of this struggling club, played 80 odd league games of WAFL football and all 95% of you want to do is sledge him. We've had players leave en mass since the end of the year, mostly league players.

Just remember the players don't pick themselves that is the coaches job.

Ransted is good to have back in the squad. He is not going to be the best player in the side but is able to play in a couple of different roles so his versatility should be good to have in 2015.

Still though need to get some quality recruits through that door, specifically two KPP's for either end and a dominant midfielder.

The only thing you have right is "we are a struggling club".

Have you ever thought to yourself why we havent played in a final for 17 years and havent won a flag in 37 years??

I have no doubt Ransted has a heart as big as phar Lap and is a Perth man but the hard questions have to be asked and i think Kane would have to much pride just to be playing as a "depth player".

The bottom line is and yes Spalding as the coach ultimately says who stays and who goes,is Kane what we need going forward?
is he going to improve the squad?
His 80 odd games should be an indication as to what the answer is.

For mine we hang onto players to long that don't seem to improve from 1 season to the next and we go into 2015 with a couple of players like that and for mine they are stopping other players from getting promoted from colts to ressies and ressies to league.

Anyway its all a matter of individual opinions.

On another note i heard a whisper tonight that Hodgey's arm has not mended properly and it still may be a problem and that he is no guarentee to play,he may need another operation.
If you have a look at the photos of him at pre-season his arm is still in a plaster, how longs that been on for??
Anyway the guy that told me is pretty sure what he said is correct, time will tell i suppose.

Finally we have a Head of Strength & Conditioning = welcome Frank Rodriguez.
Lots of positives in the announcement on club website today.
I particularly like Frank's comments re pre-season so far....
1. Senior players have embraced the new regime and and are setting the example to the younger players who are also on board.
2. What will be involved with the pre-season..... Lots of gut-running. Lots of weights to be lifted. Lots of kilometres to run.

Proof will be in the fitness of the squad come round 1. Starting from such a low base Frank has a lot of work to do.

I wish him well.

Now only one box left to tick... what about recruits??

While you hope that would be the case and from the article it sounded pretty positive but I think when he made that comment he was talking about his experience at Claremont.
