Wouldn't be throwing out lines about alignment with WCE purely as a ploy to make coaching position more attractive perhaps?

You dont honestly believe that,do you??

Its been reported in print, radio and TV media outlets not to mention the PFC and AFL web-sites.
It was even mentioned in the clubs advert Australia wide for the vacant coaching position!!

My question meant would the club be discussing a possibility of alignment in the media to make coaching position look more attractive.

Needs something to bolster it, doesn't seem to be people queuing up for the job.

Have been supporting PFC for 35 odd years, and like all of us have endured a lot of miserable cold winters with nothing to provide a glimmer of hope.
We played on the ground as juniors, some played seniors for the club, we have mates and family that played for the D's, we meet up with friends and have a beer. Our kids kick the footy at half time, and depsite the lack of success year in and year out we keep coming back because it is our club.
Align with WCE, and even that is gone.
Like many others I suspect, I will walk away and be done with the place if that occurs

On the contrary Baseline, those comments just scare coaches off. Any coach worth his salt wants to run his own show.

I'm not so sure Astro any coach with aspirations would walk over hot coals to coach an aligned team. The resources are cutting each and with new facilities etc on the way surely Perth is a top spot.

Il take your word for that Singha but I thought there was quite a few coaches just out of the AFL system coaching VFL aligned teams.

Reading between the lines, The PFC Prez seems to think the Perth members will come around and support such a move. Doesn't say much for Perth & generally the G7's (apparent) stance against the alignment. So we'll be having the same debate in 3 years time by the sounds of it. :( With some wanting an eight team competition, would be an ideal time to do that too.
