Even Vince would have to take it to the members.

Are you sure? I'm not.
I can't think of anything in the constitution that would force a decision like that to members.
Happy to be corrected on this point.
And that's the same reason why Bronte didn't take it to his members.
I don't have a problem with ground sharing, as long as EP share the WCE facilities.
As my understanding is ours will be standalone.

I'm afraid a so called legitimate flag is almost impossible at PFC similar to EP. The Royals have bankrupted themselves spending a fortune on players, the football department and junior development. We have made the odd finals series without ever contending. It took the alignment model light last year to elevate us to flag chances. The South Australian model is better for some but for Perth and East Perth I doubt it.

I do find that surprising that one man in a club can sign away anything he wants to (with the backing of the board i take it),how does one man get so much power(the members voting him in i suppose) and what other voting rights or say do members have??
Threatning to oust him would be the only course of action and as you point out whos there to take his place?

Anyway as i was saying get some onfield success and make it hard for any alignment talks to take place.
It will happen where members, supporters and sponsors are pissed off with our poor showings onfield and the alignment will start to look good to them.
In 4 years time it will be 40 years since our last flag, thats a bloody long time!!

He only has the powers provided under the Constitution.
As has any organisation.
As I have said over the years you can only "do something about it", but as previously identified there are no alternatives.
You are quite right, the only way it can be fought is for on-field success, then that may not change the Board's attitude anyway.
Let's hope that the Board doesn't share Vince's view and that it does not get swayed.

You need to have the issue raised at the AGM -- start up a petition
DF -- he would not have gone public unless the board was with him.

DF his powers as with the CEO are business based, same as what happened at my club. The decision with aligning etc is and was based on a business process and as such members/shareholders have little influence other than to to elect another board.

I don't know abt you president and his influence/contribution to the club (unlike ours who is the proverbial iron lung that keeps us breathing) but if his impact on your club is the same and you cannot find another with equal or better influence then your club will probably change in abt 4 years time.

The words influence and contribution can be chnaged to money or finances you chose!
