I reckon Harvey would be a great fit for you guys...straight out of the AFL system, no connection to the club whatsoever so won't be influenced when tough decisions need to be made and is very much of the Kevin Sheedy mould. Fingers crossed you get him coz I think Perth deserves a few good breaks.

Im not being a smart arse here but why would Harvey be a good fit for us afterall the next coach will have had no ties with us as well so what does Harvey bring to the table as a coach and why was he given the flick at Freo??
Im not saying we shouldnt go after him im just on the fence at the moment on who it is id like to see in charge in 2015.

If you listen to Harvey on the radio you'll think twice about signing him up at Perth! The bloke is a spud.

30plus..Harvey was moved on at Freo because Lyon became available out of the blue when St Kilda wouldn't agree to his terms. I think a lot of the success currently being enjoyed by Lyon is down to Harvey after the changes he brought in when Mickey Rooney aka Connolly was given the flick. Harvey was long seen as a coaching prodigy at Essendon and if Subi were looking for a new coach I'd be pretty happy if they got him on board as he reminds me in some respects of Peter German. Given the other coaching options available at the minute, I think Harvey is the best credentialled and suggest Perth should get in quick before Souths have a go at him as well.

Lets not get carried away here boys! Jarman then McMahon and we now have the opportunity to get Harvey............Daaarrhhhh! Lets face facts. What coach in their right minds with any aspirations of continuing their coaching careers would want to coach a 40 year cellar dweller????? For fks sake if we can get someone with the AFL apprenticeship and CV of Harvey we should be signing the guy up right now!

While I think Harvey might be the man for the job I can't stress enough that just because they have played AFL does not automatically mean that they are the right person for the job. That's not a dig at Harvey that goes for all potential candidates.

Look at all the people over the last 37 years that have failed. The club has underachieved for decades and whoever the new coach is they need to be 110% the right person for the job as they will be under a great deal of pressure and expectation from day one.

Get Len Gandini back to coach the reserves. He did a great job but probably put a few noses out of joint. Just what this club needs. Reckon him and Harvey would have similar philosophies.

Going by posters on here Harvey has got the gig has he??
I hope they are canvasing a few applicants and im still hopefull until he or the club state otherwise that Harris is still a chance!

I would say DD that new coaches from colts to seniors will be in place in 2015 and hopefully the new senior coach will have a big say on who they are.
Not sure about Gandini afterall if hes that good why hasnt he popped up anywhere else?
