Well let's see how we go with the new coach. I can't see us winning at EF oval. Hopefully we get a few players back from injury like Sinclair, Cale and Mitch Morton, Busher and maybe even Bateman might play his first game.

I reckon they will smash us in the midfield.

Hope we dont get stuck down the scoreboard side and play wide like we have done so often over the years.

This ground is no happy hunting ground for us and even under a new coach and renewed enthusiasm that generally comes with a change of coach mid season i think it will be a 6 goal plus win to the home team.

I don't like our chances especially on that cow paddock at Moss Street.
30+, as long as I have been a Perth supporter - and that is a very long time - we have always played around the outer wing. It is like a tradition with us. Have been slow learners all these years and still have not learnt the lesson.

It will be interesting to see what lineup we come up with and what the game plan will be. If we are to change our old habits and play thru the corridor then our midfield will have to be hard at it and win the clearances. Perhaps we need a couple more Dene Whites.

I am not confident at all but I do like pleasant surprises.

Isn't Cale out for the season, broken hand or finger i think i read somewhere?

I'm really looking forward to see how the boys go with McDud out of the way. Hopefully they will play with renewed spirit and freedom and be keen to finish the second half of the season off with pride and do a bit of damage along the way.

Will interesting to see who gets dropped and who gets promoted. For me O'Sullivan is one i would put a red pen through. Houghton is another who needs to be read the riot act. I wouldn't be playing Nick Kane, give one of the younger guys a good run at it and see if we can find something for the future. I wouldn't even play these old has beens in the two's, be brave and promote some kids and let them show what they've got.

Lets try something different instead of playing it safe.

I'll be interested to see if anyone goes near Rory O'Brien for once. McMahon obviously never rated him - why would you, he's only the reigning Sandover Medallist - and he always gets to run around by himself causing havoc against us. I hope Williams has the sense to tag him because he is their most constructive midfielder in my view.

Very similar sides, both love playing the high pressing forward line. Small up forward and back. Their midfield is superior and Rob Young always kills us and was the difference going forward last time.

I agree with DD, mix it up, bring in a youngster of two (Arangio deserves a go) and let's see if the players respond.

Having a look at the team lists that were put up on the WAFL website and taking out the players that were also listed in the reserves this is the team that came up. This is not how I have them lined up either, just how they appear on the website.

B J Kalajzic C Billings N Kane
HB J Morton J Risol M Sinclair
C G Ugle M Morton D O'Sullivan
HF A Tropiano J Houghton P Bevan
FF B Stack M Moody C Bateman
F M Leyendekkers J Leeson D White
Int. C Collard, M Florio, B Keast, C Eyres

In: Sinlair, Bateman, Tropiano, Billings, M.Morton, Stack, Leyendekkers.

Out: Brookes, Fry, Power, Clem Smith are all listed as outs. Edmonds, Boyle and Gray are also named in the league team but I say they might be outs as they are also listed in the reserves.

He was too DF. Must have missed that one. Will be interesting to see what happens this weekend. Renewed enthusiasm, different structures or maybe the same old same old.
