Liked the look of Tropiano, took a lot of shit early from the EF players, got an early goal. Ended with 26 disposals.
Thought he complimented White.
They have some dirty grubs, spineless grubs.
Hope that dirty grub Bristow gets rubbed out for 6 weeks.

Yep the boys showed a lot of fight today in what was quite a feisty game today. We lost it in the second qtr when they kicked about 4 or 5 unanswered goals. That seemed to rock the boys confidence. And over use of the bloody handball hurt us. If you are in the clear kick it yourself instead of handballing to the bloke next to you just because he's there.

I thought Trevor Williams was a breath of fresh air. Spoke in a calm but firm manner that most people could understand. It was a nice not to have to hear words like switch, surge mentality, let's go yellow etc... Sounds like terms a sparky would use. Lol

Weak as piss the way tropiano was treated by his former team mates! Never seen an ex Perth player treated like that when they have moved onto another club! Just goes to show how they treat a guy that's played his adult life with those players and they do that to him! Bristow is a piece of shit just a shame Williams didn't move Billings onto him!

yeah usually you Perth fans do the job for them Lucifer ....don't forget Bristow has only been at the club this year.....obviously disappointed to hear of Tropiano's treatment.....but then again what happens on the field usually stays on the field.....well at EFFC I'd liked to think that what happens....

touch wood Trops keeps up his intensity and consistency for you boys, that was a major problem why he only played 30 odd games in 4 years for EFFC....good to hear EF overcame a rejuvanated Perth side, especially after losing a key mid in Jamie Mac after half time.....grinding out these close wins seems to be EF speciality this season, nothing fancy, just getting the job done.

Ha Ha yes well we do always like to welcome players back to Lathlain but its a bit of banter from the pig pen nothing more and most times the opposition wins so they get to give some back to us as well but taking a blokes head off who only has eyes for the ball is going too far.

Yes trops will be a welcome addition based on his game yesterday and unlike EF ATM will add to a depleted midfield!

Listened to 91.3 game preview yesterday and the commentators said he wanted to get a crack at being drafted and just wanted more opportunities to do so that's the reason for the move apparently!

With the season gone the only thing the boys are playing for is themselves now and yesterday I think did that. Was a pretty good effort against a team we habitually lose against.

I was surprised to see Tropiano got 26 possessions tbh but liked the way he used the ball and seemed to blend in and compliment our midfield. Looks like he will be a handy pick up. Two players I want to single out are Leyendekkers and Houghton. Leyendekkers is going to be very good player long term and if can stay healthy is still a chance to be drafted. Has a tremendous leap and take a mark and kick goals.

Houghton has been a major disappointment since being dropped by the Dockers but he's shown a bit in the last few games to suggest he is getting the message. Yesterday I thought was possibly his best game for the club but still needs to work on his body strength. Liked the look of Arangio in the magoos and must be given a couple of opportunities before the year is out.

It was that 15 minute lapse in the second quarter when they reverted to going sideways after dominating the first ten minutes for 1.3 and after being told explicitly at quarter time to go straight into the wind and not go lateral as EF expected us to do. When they played to the same instruction in the last quarter they almost pinched it. Just lacked a bit class and a bit of luck to get the points yesterday but the effort was there as the tackle count suggests.

Billings WWF body slam on sauce Bristow on the interchange line was a highlight. He played a mighty game on Rob Young when he was forward yesterday. I though it was Eardley that did the most damage for them but some of those goals - Bevo tap over the back and run on, Morton's 40m dribble and Sullys mark and follow up to get us to within a kick in the last quarter - were fantastic and when they played to instruction to go long and straight they looked good.

I too was impressed with how Williams addressed the players and I like they way he set them up and backed them to play through the corridor out of the back line. I hope he gets retained whoever comes in as head coach.

I will start by saying i wasnt at the game.

Teams generally lift and perform better in game one of a new coach than they have over the past month or so when a coach is replaced during the season.
Lets see if the endevour is still there in a months time.
Didnt Williams quote during the week that he was not going to change anything?

If they keep Williams on board give him the colts job,thats where he made his name at Peel.
I personally would like to see a complete new look in the coaches box with the new senior coach making his own appointments.

Houghton has to string games together over a month or so before i would be convinced he is going to be the KP we need,shows glimpses and then nothing for long periods.
Brennan Stack looks like he had a quiet one,was he well beaten or the ball just didnt go his way?
