Another familiar finish for the PFC and its supporters...no September action.

So where do we go to from here??
For mine we are well short in many area including a top notch coach.

We rank very low in both points kicked for and points kicked against.
East Perth showed the value of having quality experienced talls on saturday.
We need to find at least 1 tall experienced KP for the forward line and 1 at the other end of the ground in the backline.
Our midfield is not damaging enough particuarly when it comes to scoring.
We need to inject pace and class into the midfield.
Eyres in the ruck with Leyendekers is that combo going to worry many teams going forward, probably just against the lower ranked teams but not against the top 4 or 5 teams.

We need a new game plan with new philosophy's and with that a new coach.
McMahon has not done enough over 3 years to warrant another term.
We have to be on the lookout now and no better place to start than Darren Harris.

Yes we were good early but lets face it you dont play finals and win a flag in March/April.
We fell away when all the good teams were cranking it up a gear...we couldnt go with them.
A likey 6th finish is a disappointing finish to the year.

What do other PFC supporters think in player recruitment and where do you sit when it comes to the coach for 2014??

The coach is fine. The club just needs to flush out a few more players and staff that they don't like the look of and then we can move up the ladder.

Next year with the host club deal, you can expect a bit more eveness - well sort off, in the short term anyway, perhaps just for one year.

Expect claremonts domination to end, perhaps ef dropping back a bit, however expect EP to grow in dominance. Peel will no longer be easy beats.

Expect South to improve a fair bit.

Not really sure where Perth will be at.

Regardless EP will go in Flag Favs in 2014.

Bazza could you explain why you think Peel will no longer be easybeats? There may be a minor setback for Claremont but it will be very minor in the extreme. East Freo may very well be impacted heavily. The club formerly known as East Perth face some very interesting times ahead when they realise what they have entered into.

Swans will face a challenge with some possible retirements. player movements due to the alignment and draft selections.

Swan42 I agree with your summation. I expect that a reasonable number of the EP mature players will be seeking homes elsewhere whch should see some clubs able to improve their depth. This will mean the gap between good and not so good will diminish and thus a leveling over the season for teams like Perth will occur.

With the likes of Brennan, Butler, Carter, Cripps, Dick, Hams, Hutchings, Lycett, McGinnity, McGovern, Sheppard & Sinclair playing the majority of games for EP they will be dominant in 2014, plus an AFL pre season under their belts & throw in a Smith & Johnson & the side loooks very good. EP are now very good with only a few WCE players!

Claremont didn't have a single AFL player yesterday and we have had a few games only here and there from Mcginnity and Silvagni. We'll slide next year due to retirements from senior players, not due to the alignment.

That is very much how I see it in 2014..its going to be very tough for any of the clubs to win a flag from next year on.

I would imagine peels proffesionalism to lift by many notches next year and thereafter, they cannot possibly be as weak as in the past with AFL influence.

I sure hope South are contacting current EP and Peel fringe players pertty soon to grab a few.

I have a feeling

Clint Jones ex St Kilda
Cory Dellion ex Ess.

will be headingback to SFFC for 2014.

When I read that TOO , i doubted that could be correct, but just checked on WAFL stats and your are 100% correct. That makes a win by 59 points awesome

why would SF want any of Peels/EP fringe guys with all their gun youngsters coming through the ranks?........mate it will be interesting to see what happens with Ess for 2014....if they get suspended from the comp for 12 months what's gonna happen to all their players?.....EF wouldn't mind Ryder, Hardingham and Hooker running around for them in 2014.....
