The list above is 54 players totalling 129 points. It is definitely a solid list that in my opinion is missing a Key forward, another ruckman like an Andrew Ruck, Mitch Andrews, Mark Seaby or Chris Keunen. A goal kicking midfielder with pace would be nice as well but as you can see with the points and the salary cap it's hard to get everything you want.

In order of priority as I see it:

1. 50-60 goal a year TALL key forward. Josh Smith would be lovely.
2. A ruckman that can keep Christian Eyres on his toes. I believe that the combination of Eyres and Leyendekkers can work in the future but Mitch is a couple of preseason and about 30-40 games away from seeing what he can really do IMO. What's Andrew Ruck doing next year? Doesn't hurt to ask.

In regards to the goal kicking midfielders with pace I think we can possibly cover that from within the squad. Matt Boyle was a revelation at the start of the year and has dropped off a little like the rest of the team as the season progressed. Went on a holiday and came back and kicked 2 goals against the Royals in the reserves. He has pace, loves a goal or two and should benefit from a another preseason and the experience he has gained in 2013.

The other person who I reckon could fill this position is Kyle Reimers. Yes I know he hasn't exactly set the world on fire. He did have a late start to the preseason and maybe that has played a part. I reckon he needs to work his arse off preseason, get fit and he should see the rewards of his hard labour. It's up to him if he wants it.

So einstein how do Sinclair,Johnson,Lycett,Smith,McGovern,McIness,Tunbridge etc etc etc all get a game at the same time in the league team?????
How many midfielders from other clubs are going to EP next season???
Plenty have to miss out and it wont be the alignment players!!

Something has to give and go and that will be your established East Perth players because the alignment players aren't going anywhere!!

Mr AFL dont quote me on this but i seem to remember that the points allocation along with salray cap was going up in 2014????
My opinion is we are at least 4 or 5 quality players short from making the 4.
We need minimum 1 KP in the forward line, another KP in the backline,1 or 2 classy midfielders and 1 mature big bodied ruckman.

Name calling again from behind a keyboard, I won't take that to heart. I'm just stating fact no more than that the semantics of it all are for others to work out. It is quite clear players like Tunbridge, Mcinnes and Sinclair would be very fortunate to stay on an AFL list next year. But they may have a year left on their contracts.

'Einstein"...name calling..gee your a bit soft.
Alright i will put it this way,you don't have to be Einstein to work out someone has to miss out with the influx of players East Perth will receive from other clubs and interstate via the draft.
The Eagles will delist but they will also pick up players in the draft.
Do the maths...you can have only so many tall KP's,Rucks and midfielders in your team at the one time.
I would be very surprised if a number of East Perth's senior players didn't look elsewhere next season.

And all I can tell you is what I know, I'm sure not all my information is gospel but most of it would be near the mark. WP have signed two and I know of a couple more that will go play Amos or country. If you mention a player I will give you my opinion on if they may be available. A couple of super talented kids in the reserves I would target, but I won't make it to easy for you.

It's getting harder for Cox.

I would have thought Sinclair is a mile ahead of Lycette as a ruckman, he won't be going anywhere.

I agree, Fraser McInnes may be in the frame.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Some money to be made this week. If over 39.5 is paying anything like the $3.20 on offer last week some of us could be debt free by Saturday arvo. Pen us in for a 3 figure loss

EP are now very good with only a few WCE players!

That is very much how I see it in 2014..its going to be very tough for any of the clubs to win a flag from next year on.

I would imagine peels proffesionalism to lift by many notches next year and thereafter, they cannot possibly be as weak as in the past with AFL influence.

I sure hope South are contacting current EP and Peel fringe players pertty soon to grab a few.

I have a feeling

Clint Jones ex St Kilda
Cory Dellion ex Ess.

will be headingback to SFFC for 2014.

Smarty might be having a chat with Jones to come across to the Ducks, joining Hammer and his bro if he gets de-listed

considering SD colts have nothing to give the club in the very near future, SD will be dependent on recruiting more outsiders to join their already very foreign midfield!!......any local boys in that SD midfield?
