Obviously been a falling out along the line! Had he been undermined from within?
Perth were expected to do well last week against Subiaco, but their last quarter effort in that match could have been the last straw. They started this season good enough with 2 wins in a month, then the wheels fell off.
Coaches don't quit with immediate effect for no reason. Going by reports German returning to Victoria and a stand in coach stepping into the role.

geez I remember Browny taking the Perth reserves side off mid-game because the umpires were shite
then grabbing a reporter's microphone , ripping it to shite and subsequently telling him where it was going to be lodged if he didn't get the fark out of his face

good on him for destroying the whiteboard too farken things are loaded with unfathomable modern dribble anyways

How many times did Brownie quit as coach of Souths only to be talked back? What did he do to get suspended but was allowed to coach from scaffolding on the roof of the clubrooms and lifted over the ground on a cherry picker so he could address the players at qtr and 3 qtr time? Must have been a hell of a big cherry picker and counter weights. 😂

I've kept out of this as Germo was very good for Subi but in my opinion, coaches don't quit with 2 games left in the season to go back home. They get sacked with 2 games to go as there's no downside for the club if said coach is not connecting with the players. Just my thoughts and could be wrong not being an insider at PFC.

Been a build up for some time I’d say and players decided they’d had enough. Cracks appeared at the 4th game against EP. Apparently said on 91.3 this morning that the players boycotted the player awards at the Broken Hill Hotel after the game. Can really go off German.

Anyway I appreciate he gave it a crack at a bottom of the ladder team with the best of intentions and has helped attract some of the best recruits at this club in decades. We need more and a new coach who can get the best out of them as well as the local talent.

If he has manhandled a player, thrown a chair and destroyed a whiteboard, then I am not surprised.
Maybe, this is a blessing, if Mark Stone is appointed for next year.
He seems to come with plenty of experience at the highest level.
We will see if the players respond this week against SF,

Let’s not forget too, when he saw our gym he was horrified and said that’s not good enough which subsequently prompted the club to get off it’s arse and gut it, put in new flooring and paint and order a skip bin to throw out the rubbish equipment and buy new stuff. That’s a very poor reflection on those that are running the joint before German was appointed. So thanks Germo.

Same thing happened with the change rooms, ripped up carpet stuck to the floor with Gatorade and was dark and dingy. After new white paint and carpet the players were told no more Gatorade showers after a win. Not that that happens too often.

One of the posts of the season.

I'll never forget that day when Browny marched out, ordered the reserves off, lifted Peter Murnane off the ground with a single handed strangle, then ripped the mic off the chord from the Channel Wrinkles reporter and dumped it in the red and black painted bin next to the players race.

And you are right about the whiteboard.

But as Ted said earlier, doesn't work anymore.

We need to be grateful to Peter German. As DD says, he did raise standards. He knew what success looks like and he tried to make the change. Maybe struggled ultimately on the communication bit but raised the bar on a club that has lost touch with what competitive standards look like.
