Hayward is the smallest player on our list. Certainly not skinny - if anything, he looks to have a spare tyre. A small forward is one of many areas we have struggled in for some time. Browne has had his chance, McPartland is playing ok, but is not a regular goal kicker, and Barwick was poor in his first couple of games. Jackson was poor last week, but it may have been a bit harsh not giving him one more. So I guess Hayward can get his chance to impress. I'd like to see Stack half forward if he can get fit and motivated. A real key to out improved performance last week was mids hitting the scoreboard, and that has to be backed up throughout the season.

I would not under-estimate Hayward. He is sturdily built yet quick, but gets under the nose of the opposition.
Doesn't mind getting the hard ball and knows what to do with it.

Have heard a whisper that Perth is sitting on a price of 1$ and 10c for the win. Been a long time since they had those type of figures. One feels they turned a corner last week if reports are true, as they played well and east Fremantle were made to work hard for their win.

I think 12.6 to 1.4 at half time. Very poor second half. 1 goal 3rd qtr, 5 in the last.

Disagree, IMHO that was a very good win.
To finish it off in the final term was a promising sign.
As I have said before, this game plan is new to us and requires a great deal of match fitness.
It will take time for us to run for the whole game.
With it will come improved skill levels.
JH excited me today.
And Harrry, well done your work level today was what we need from you every week. Well played.
Have two key forwards will make a huge difference.
All in all a great game.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

This was a sign of what may be coming. opposition were poor but let’s not under estimate a bloody good effort from the boys today.
Hats off to Jaiden Hunter and Harry Q. Exciting sign of things to come - maybe. Finally we saw what Q can deliver. He was switched on and focussed and 4 Goals. I liked that he came to meet the ball and open up the forward line. J H led well and held his marks but sadly missed some shots on goal but 4 goals.
In defence Tarkan BH and Connor Sing played probably their best games.
Great to see Reagan Clarke back to his best …probably BOG. Jack Avery superb in defence.
Still “baby steps” but we are on the right track and improving with each outing.

Hard to assess that win given how woeful the opposition were. Disappointing third quarter, but otherwise good that we pushed until the end. Shame that Hayward missed that last snap (DBW was justifiably unhappy that he didn't get a handball from him) which would have pushed the margin past 100. Real positive seeing Hunter back. Probably tired a bit towards the end, understandably, but is a class player. Much better work rate from Q.

It is a much sterner test next week. It is unlikely there will be any changes unless Manzone is fit, in which case he would come in for More. Hopefully Cary and AJ can push for selection, and Stack can start to show something. It is a big game, being Taylor's 100th and, more importantly, Sinclair's 150th. He will be the first Perth player to get to 150 since Willie Dick in 2000. Let's hope there can be a big turn out to honour an outstanding player and person.
