Surely Ajang Ajang plays this week. Stats weren't flattering last week but played mostly FB on a 204cm forward but 20 hitouts, 12 posessions and a goal the week before. Or are we waiting for DBW to break down?

At the risk of having egg on my face if we lose, given the quality of the team WCER are likely to field, why not give AJ an extra week to rest? Likewise Cary and Hunter. I suppose the flip side is that it may be a comparatively easy re-introduction to league footy.

Stack was also planned to debut this week but suspension stuffed that up. Given there is no ressies game, do we chuck him in?

If Ajang and Stack came in, who misses out? For me, I'd have Lane out for Stack, Q for AJ. If Cary came back in, then either Jackson or Bird would make way.

not far off it, Ted

In: Hunter and Hayward
Out: Jackson and Lane

Ajang is first emergency and Bird is named at CHB which seems a bit odd and makes me think AJ will be a late inclusion

Out - Jackson, Lane
Ins - Hunter, Hayward.
WCE - No Mitchell, Kennedy, Schofield or others
This is a game we should win IMO. We did well v EF last week. Started well but fell away later. Overall it was some further improvement and showed again that we are gradually getting the idea of the game plan. But we need a full 4 quarters of effort. Our skills level needs improvement so that we don't throw away any advantages that we might gain.

I wouldn't have picked Hayward. I don't rate him generally, but 4 goals in 4 goals doesn't suggest he has knocked down the door to play league. I appreciate Jackson had a quiet game last week, but at least he offers some versatility. I agree that Bird shouldn't play CHB. With Hunter back in, there is no need for Sinkers to play forward this week.

That said, you never want to be over confident as a Perth fan, but as well as the guys Smokey mentioned, the Eagles have lost Trew and Jamieson. Do they have any league quality players outside of Waterman, Nelson and Browne?

Smokey we are a work in progress from the game plan point of view.
We need to get used to it and know it back to front.
The skills will come with time as will our fitness and ability to run for 4 quarters.
The signs are good, we need time and also a win or two to add a bit of confidence.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

Is Lane droped? - Certainly hasn't set the world on fire as a recruit .I think German has the right  idea - Height and size - probably why he has picked Hayward. Perth have always been small and skinny.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
