I see the Eagles are showing interest in Baxter Philip from your club.  I have to admit that I know nothing about him, but seems like he’s agile and pretty fast.  Can he play footy?

He is very clean with great foot skills and a long kick. However, he has a very light frame, at only 61kg, and that was apparent in the two league games he played for Perth. It's that situation all WAFL fans go through: you want your players to fulfil their ambitions, but you also want them to play good footy for your club. Hopefully the AFL clubs will think that Philip will benefit from another year to bulk up a bit. However, the Eagles might decide he can do that in their reserves team. 

Thanks for the reply Ted.  I hope for his sake he stays with you for another year.  Putting him in the WCER is not what a young kid needs.  TBH, the eagles ressies are going nowhere, so you don’t want the lad continually playing in a losing team and getting the feeling that losing is a norm.

Have heard a rumour going around that Darren Rumble could be a line coach under German.
Anyone else hear anything of the sort?

Correct. Not the only $ legend joining the Demons coaching panel either. 

Any news on players yet Dazz.  I note that EF and CL have been very active already. I hope that we are not being left behind.

Well, if they have not spoken with him then they should have. We are just not getting any news atm. 
I know that we are going to have a new coaching regime and early days as yet but it is frustrating. I would expect some positive news on all fronts over the next couple of weeks.
If Langdon is available, no doubt your lot would be all over him. 

Under the circumstances, I’d be surprised if they did chase him smokes.  But do I sense a bit of rancour in that comment?

No rancour at all Shark. If you have read my earlier posts I did note that the Sharks and Claremont seem to be on the front foot already re recruiting for 2023 whereas, whilst I hope the Demons are not sitting on their hands waiting for things to happen. 
There is not much info emanating from our club atm.
