Perth supporter gossip if genuine indicates Steven Armstrong or Rob Wiley are strongly considered candidates for the league gig! It would be a backward step to appoint either……

It's absolutely pointless considering who should coach without firstly considering what is required of the next coach.  Our coach needs to be able to fill the following requirements:

1. Able to attract players
2. Be known to younger players and have earned their respect.
3. Be willing to drop any player regardless of CV (Fraser or Ainsworth as examples).
4. Be able to build a decent coaching team - not just anyone who puts their hand up because they have their capabilities and desires confused.
5. Have the respect of old and potential new board members.
6. Able to identify and develop raw talent.
7. Able and WILLING to communicate to supporters and members.

For mine Peter Sumich does not fulfil all of these and nor does Armstrong or German.  The only person that might meet all of these categories is a recently retired AFL player.
