Interesting to see Harry Quartermaine kicked 5 goals in the reserves first scratchy and 3 goals 4 behinds in the second.  I've heard his name mentioned a few times last year as a colt. Does anyone know much about him?
He is a beast and trimmed down by the looks of what I saw on Saturday. I only saw a bit of the last qtr of the reserves. Saw him take a contested mark. He could a weapon in the making.

He had good stats at colts level but appeared to be reluctant to run hard or to chase when required. If he has trimmed down and has the right mindset he could develop as a very handy forward option capable of consistently kicking goals.
A few "ifs" there but let's wait and see.

Scratchy this Saturday evening against SF starting at 5.10.
reserves starting about 2.40. I wonder if Mayne is ready to play half a game or so in the ressies.
Josh Smith’s continued absence is a concern. Surely it’s not the same injury from last season keeping him on the sidelines.

At 194cm we need blokes like Regan to develop.
He appears to pick up a lot of possessions (at Colts level) for a kid 194cm.
Is he a forward prospect?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

He played in the midfield mostly at colts level. He can kick a goal.

He's put on growth spurt.
194cm is tall for a midfielder.
But if he moves like one and is agile he may well be a key forward prospect.
Do you think he is ready to debut?

Sam Perkusich has had a number upgrade to 6. This might be a sign he is going to get some opportunities this year which would be good. He turned the game around in our ressies win over SD in the finals last year, with his massive last quarter getting clearance after clearance and working hard up the ground. He didn’t play against Subi but hopefully we see him this week against SF.

I agree Satan. He did seem to take a step up last season. I was impressed with some of his efforts. I think he can take that next step up. I will watch him closely on Saturday.
Another whose progress I will be watching is Oscar Bird. Towards the end of last season, and particularly the finals, he showed that he could possibly step up to the next level. Another wait and see.

The teams are out for this saturday’s scratchy vs SF. Great to see Mayne and Cary suiting up for the league and Josh Smith and Avery in the reserves.

Dunno if the positions mean anything but Mayne is on the wing and Busher is at FF 👍🏽
