Were does it say we have secured the 4 blokes from West Coast. Josh Smith, yes, but the other players we are still negotiating on, aren't we?

You might have to get down there at 11.30am on a Saturday morning to see him play.
We’ll gladly take the transfer money.

Yep that's what I thought. Negotiations are promising but we haven't signed them yet.

I hope we can find a reasonable solution. One which doesn't see Byrne head the other way.

I think they're signed just not released yet.
Grey not under contract.
Repay a transfer fee for McInnes, player for Fisher.
We have allowed them to talk to players.
Release agreed in pricipal.

They have all signed with us. WCE have no hold on Smith.... he is on our list. The other three are signed .. we will pay a fee for McInnes. The other two are signed and will play for us and will be cash or player swap.
WCE have been told Byrne is going nowhere. If they want to try and stop Grey and Fisher playing with us good luck.

FB: Hill - Giblett - Coniglio
HB: Smith - Sinclair - Taylor
C: Fisher - Masten - Colledge
HF: Richardson - McInnes - Jones
FF: McPartland - Roe - Rogers
R: Eyres - Grey - Byrne
Res: Payne - Langdon - Stubbs - Clarke

Not yet willing to say Loersch is in best 22 (esp. not given his recent season). Still think Eyres is best for first ruck with either Langdon or Giblett in support. Hitchcock is only 180cm and isn't proven at League level. Same goes for Reid. Fit and focused, Roe is our best scoring option. English not proven at League level (played 12 reserves games for Richmond in 2019 for 6 goals as a shutdown player). Lague, Murphy, Yeo, BJ - injury. Marlin - new coach, might improve. Browne, DBW, Davis, Edmonds, Henderson, Mercer, Hansen, Nicholas seem to have fallen off or not cemented spot when given the opportunity (or am I being unfair).

12 of my 22 are homegrown.

Loersch is in the best 22 surely. 10 points and 11k says so. If not, what a waste of points and money. He was very good in his first year and played some good games in 2019 also. Injuries cut him down this year.

PD, it seems that Roe, like Burke, was out of favour last season. If they are fit and appear determined to step up both could work their way into the side. Depends on Mossy's plans.

I don't like Sinclair or Taylor in a key position. They do their best work on the flanks. Zac Hill should fill CHB with new found confidence.
Colledge not suited to the wing IMO. Is better in the centre and at stoppages where he can create the clearances.

Not sure if McInnes plays CHF. Last season the Sheriff took the key position and Fraser played in a pocket where his height was a factor.
You have made no room for Loersch. Surely at 203cm he has to play FF or first ruck. Otherwise he is a waste of 10 points and $11k as KCEF suggests. If it is FF then Eyres will lead the ruck.

If English stays he will push for a spot somewhere. A shutdown spot is an interesting suggestion.
I cannot see a regular spot for Langdon. Payne, Nicholas, Davis, Browne and Edmonds will push for games especially if injuries cause problems.

We do not know the status of Yeo at this stage but hopefully he will be fit to push for selection at some point in the season. Hoping 2021 season may be much longer than 2020.

I think we should reserve judgement on Clark, Reid and Hitchcock. They are coming out of the second best side in 2020 with limited, if any, opportunities to push up into the league side at Tigerland. It will be interesting to watch how they perform in pre-season.

We really are guessing a lot atm and it will be interesting to see how all players fit into Mossy's game plan.
