We have spent 10 points on him so we must have some plans for him.
Reid also has good HO stats but is only 197cm but looks a good type.
I wonder if he is seen as a back up ruckman resting forward.
Could Stubbs play a role at FF?

The one recruit we really need is a ruck coach.

I know we need a ruckman personally I don’t see Loersch being the one.
Nothing wrong with a 203 cm FF either.
Whichever way you look at it we need both.

As it stands our ruck problems seem to rest with Loersch, Eyres, Reid and Two Dads.
Whatever eventuates we need a ruck coach. While we are at it a specialist kicking coach is a must also.
Yes, I forgot about Taylor but I do not see him at chb. Between Taylor and Sinclair they will be more damaging if they can reduce turnovers.
We are building depth at last. There are several players who we could expect to put their hand up...Payne, Davis, Regan Clarke, Nicholas, Edmonds, Browne, Cary, Langdon, Murphy, Burke, Hayward, Johnson, Melloncelli, Morcombe, Sanderson.
And we don’t yet know how Yeo’s fitness will be and English is yet to sign up.

Quite surprised Jayden Hunter hasn't gotten a mention - mobile tall up back or front..though may be a smokey to get drafted or rookied…..

Isn't there a rule where club's have to have so many local lads in the 22 on game day...think Perth may come up short with that side named

Ted Nugent wrote: Yes, I assume Satan forgot Taylor. I thought Fisher played his best footy on a wing, so I'd have him and Smith or English. CHB is a tough one. I like Sinkers playing an intercept marking role, rather than a close checking one, so I'd rather not have him CHB. However, I don't think Langdon is good enough. That only leaves Hill, who can be a bit undersized against some key forwards. With the forwards, I still have a lot of faith in Johnson, if he can get fit, as a third tall. Jones, Burke or Cary could also play that role. I like Regan Clarke, who should step up. If we need a tagger, Payne comes in, otherwise, I can't see a place for him. Then there may be some colts pushing for selection in Hunter and Meloncelli. At this stage, I am not prepared to back any of the Claremont guys or the guy from Sydney in for a starting berth. Hopefully we can have some depth this season - there is also Nicholas, Edmonds, and Davis so that we will only need to play guys like Quill, Browne, Hansen or Hendo in an emergency.

I thought Marshall Jones actually came on a bit this season. He played some good footy throughout the year.

DBW needs to have a big preseason. If he does this then he may surpass Eyres as the preferred option.

I don’t have the same opinion as most on here re-DBW,I personally think he’s a long way off.

Eyres surprised me in that final but I doubt he can bring that type of intensity on a regular basis.
We still need to find a quality number 1 ruckman.

Eyres not only played well in the first semi. He played very well against Higgins the week before against South.

Yes we need to look to Jayden Hunter for the future.
What we need to provide for all potential ruckmen including Eyres is a ruck coach.
We had Beau McDonald a couple of years ago pity he is no longer with us.
Potential:
Eyres
Two dads
Reid

By the way Hunter averages over 30 hit outs a game.
He is only 194cm but he does also average 14.5 disposals a game.
So a lot to work with.
Loersch
Hunter

Both Two dads and Loersch are the tallest things we've had for yonks.
Not sure there is enough points to recruit an ex AFL ruckman.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

It would seem that we must be close to our points cap. Not sure we can fit anyone else in.
Perhaps the squad as we see it currently may be it.
We have done well to secure those 4 WCE boys and together with the other recruits will add to the base we already have.
Not yet prepared to concede English as a loss...we will see.
Some of our lesser players did come on a bit this past season.
Zac Hill seemed to rediscover his confidence in the last couple of games.
Aussie Davis is a work in progress should be able to shake off his occasional turnovers.
Marsh Jones had a good season, probably his best so far. He may have found his niche and still have improvement.
Kasey Nicholas I like. He has a toughness about him and is a good kick even though he does sometimes spray it. He can work on that.
Christian Eyres is an enigma, much maligned by some. I believe that he did earn a bit of respect with his last couple of games especially the final and he usually does play well against Higgins. It would be a bonus if he can carry that sort form on an ongoing basis.
We don't know about Yeo's fitness. If he is fit to play it will be another bonus.
The young kids we have already tried and those that are coming through will top up the list that should provide the best player depth that we have had for a long time.
