For the first time in a long time I don’t think we need a great deal but I do hope unlike previous seasons when they have been ok and we failed to build on it the following year that we are smart in making the squad stronger to go a couple of steps further.
With our three mids coming back into it and a few new additions anything could happen in 2021.

Imo we need a tallish KPP backman who can play.
Small pacey crumbing forward maybe McPartland could play this role?
McDonald will need replacing so maybe Delahunty becomes that permanent forward so,I would go out and recruit an experienced ruckman.

If the rumours are correct that may already be done.
I think the KPP backman could well be done.
The ruckman maybe a little iffy but if rumours are correct that may be done also.

40+ I think there is an important issue at home.
Jaiden Hunter (Ruck), Harry Quartermain (KPP forward) and Zac Meloncelli (midfield).
These kids look like prospects, I liked the look of them in a couple of Colts games I saw.
The challenge for us is to bring these kids along and make them league players.
We must find the right asst coaches to bring them on and teach the how to play.
Importantly we need a ruck coach.
Eyres did well against SF & WP after coming back in, I was impressed with his 14 disposals in the final.
Even he could do with help, that includes increasing his aerobic capacity.
2 dads is not quite up to it as yet but he is still young enough to benefit from a specialist coach.
And get Coups back out there to teach us to snare the crucial goals.
McPartland should have kicked that goal against the breeze, he was only 15 metres out and it was crucial.
That's not a criticism of him.
Had he monstered the ball the wind would not have affected it as much.
There is no way some of our asst coaches could teach that, Coups could.
We just have to get better off the field.

We need to learn how to identify the crucial moments and how to nail them.
It has to do with composure.

Yep I thought Eyres was good in the semi,we need that out of him everY week which I doubt he’s got it in him.
Baldwin Wright imo is still a way off for a full season in the league.
Hopefully the club explores recruiting an experienced guy.
Sounds good about the backman.
The really good colts players can progress quickly as McDonald and McPartland have shown this season.

A couple of things have been said recently.
1. Exciting times ahead.
2. We have scores to settle. We owe some Clubs big time.

Looking forward to it.

What Perth have to do going forward is expand their metro zone. Applecross and Canning Vale should go to the Dees from EF. Cottesloe to EF from Claremont as compensation. Take Wanneroo off WP and give to EP too.

This weakens Claremont and WP (everyone happy with that). Strengthens Perth, EP (everyone happy with that) and is a probable even swap for EF.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

unfortunately while Mandurah is allowed to bludge away in this league there won't be substantial zonal changes that could benefit anyone other than Mandurah

Given the Sandover votes awarded to Masto, it is probable that we were just a broken thumb away from progressing much deeper into the finals.
I take nothing away from the winner of the medal but 3 top votes underscores Masto's value to the side and, had he not been injured, what might have been.
With a new coach, a revised game plan, and some tweaking of the the playing squad we may be just a bit closer to becoming a contender than we thought.

Taking Applecross and Canning Vale away from EF in exchange for Cottesloe weakens EF a hell of a lot more than Claremont.

You need to get away from zones all together. A zone that's good to one team now is shockingly bad to the same team in 10 years then you go and swap suburbs around like musical chairs.

Need to have a draft process where young kids wanting to play wafl gets picked up in the draft from junior clubs or high schools competitions.

Bottom team gets first 2 picks then every team gets a pick based on reverse ladder order.

Zones is not making the competition even, it never will.
