Why have they gone for Sunday? , no local AFL teams are playing on Saturday!! What benefit does a Sunday offer!!

Unfortunately for Freo fans Of which I'm one) their last game for the season is going to clash with this game.

It is absolute nonsense that at least one of the finals is not played on Saturday, preferably both should be.

The Fremantle game is on after our first semi, hence the early start to fit in with tv schedules.

Ok who's coming in and who misses out this week? Everyone contributed to this historic win but we need our best 22 out of the park against WP. Sam Stubbs was starting to establish himself since making his debut against Claremont in round 6 and I believe he would have held his spot if he didn't suffer a hamstring injury.

Payne was the out for Eyres on the weekend so it's going to be tricky for the selectors. Conor McPartland I think has done enough to keep his spot since debuting against Swans the week before. His last qtr was huge on the weekend.

I think I heard Earl say Payne was rested as he was carrying a hip complaint so it sounds like he will come back in to mind Black or Nelson. I am going to concede here that they will likely stick with Eyres to ruck with Delahunty and IMO we have to play either Delahunty and Eyres or 2dads because opposition are putting a lot more time into Logan McDonald these days. McInnes can still go into the ruck with Delahunty resting forward.

So who does Payne come in for? Obvious one is Hendo who I must say can hold his head high on the weekend. Lets say that happens then that leaves Stubbs. I wouldn't drop McPartland who probably replaced him when he got injured.

Richo played well against Souths after a couple of quiet games. The backline really stood up but I would say Aussie Davis might be the vulnerable one to make way for Stubbs who adds more punch, can go in the guts or forward and add potency up there. We haven't seen his best yet only glimpses but he's only played 2 league games.

Sorry the other one is Edmonds, who I think has had a pretty charmed run for a long time. There was a 50/50 in the last qtr where he was beaten too easily. Stubbs would have given a better contest.
