Ok every week is a huge game but the sooner we get one of the big scalps the easier it will make life for us in the run home in the quest to end our 22 year finals drought. Claremont are a tough outfit but I have noticed they have been struggling to score a little of late, struggling to get over Peel at Claremont Oval by 23 points in the end then eventually running over the top of EP after being down by 3 goals at half time.

First change I'd make is 2dads for Eyres. We are coming up against a state ruckman in Jeremy Goddard who dominated Eyres last year. I feel 2dads and Delahunty will at least break even with Goddard. Spalding has had to try and hide Eyres the last two weeks using Delahunty and even McInness to try and get some ascendancy in the middle.

There's a few others who's position in the side is on shaky ground. Peletier, Hendo and Marshall must all come under the microscope. Stubbs was a promising debut last week so he has to keep his spot. Roe, Marlin and Johnson have to come into consideration and I know they are looking to fast track O'Driscoll but hard to know the form when we don't get reserves stats.

We definitely need more run or Claremont will kill us. The backline has looked shaky this year so hopefully Sinclair is available as he can give us stability there and Fisher did well in the midfield against WP. But Sinclair was a late withdrawal due to a groin so those things usually aren't minor. Maybe shanking that shot on goal from 5 m out was a result of groin soreness or maybe that's when he strained his groin. It was some sort of effort smacking the pill into the steel from 5m out dead in front.

I agree re our defence in fact I think it’s been a weakness of ours for at least the past three seasons they battle hard but the KPP’s back there are not the best.
Also agree re Eyres,I stated last week he should have been omitted and a running player could have been bought in.
McIness and Delahunty for that game could have shared the ruck duties.
I do sometimes question Snakes team selections and game plan, hopefully Moss has his own style.

The one thing going for us is we go better against Claremont away from Lathlain.
A win here goes a long way towards finishing in the four a loss and I think that’s mothballs for 2020.

I saw him come off in the last qtr of the reserves holding his ribs but he did go back on. Oh well that rules him out. I'd like to see the new super boot Nyika John given a go. I think he's got a bit going for him. Mitch Lague is another on the injured list I believe it's a hip.

If that is official, then for me, it will be Eyres out and DBW in with Richardson, Stubbs, Nicholas and O'Driscoll in.
Hansen, Marlin and Hendo to miss out.

The other thing that I would do is to play Payne on the wing where he plays his best footy, then I would have Reagan Clarke as the small crumbing forward. We don't seem to have anyone else to play that role and we badly need to find a replacement for Ninja.

Payne will line up on Mitchell or Bolton.
If Henderson doesn’t have a run with role then he should miss out, along with Hansen. I think if you don’t play Eyres then you ruck with Delahunty and McInness. Not sure about DBW coming in for this crucial game.

DBW, Hendo, Hansen Marlin named in ressies. A bit confusing because DBW named as an in for league side.
Looks like O'Driscoll will play.,, named as an out for ressies and an in for league.

I don't think it matters where they are named on Thursday night.
