I thought he looked and moved a lot like Scott who also played at Freo in their early years.
His grandfather Dale also played in Claremont's 1964 WAFL Premiership team.

While it may work well for Subi, the fact that the prelim is on a Sunday is really not all that fair for the two participating clubs as the winner will have a 6 day break before the biggest game of the season. At this time of year, that extra day can make a huge difference to a player getting up for a game or missing out. Cant see any reason why they cant play Saturday with an earlier start to prevent a clash with the AFL GF. Maybe play the league as the middle game between the colts and ressies. I dont think it's fair to have a 6 day break before a grand final.

Alternatively play the WAFL grand final on Sunday as they have been doing for many years. That would give the preliminary final winner the full 7 days. This has been a fantastic competitive finals series so far and I think we will get another classic contest at Freo this week. I have a sinking feeling though that the Grand Final, the showpiece game at Optus will be the exception. Hopefully it won't be as one sided as 2018 and 2019.

Might be a bit late to reschedule the game at Optus. Much bigger issue to change that booking than to move the prelim at Freo oval to early arvo Saturday.

Wafl preliminary final probably needs to be on a different day to afl gf. It needs its own air. 

There won't be too many there this Sunday as people will have a hangover from the AFL GF the night before plus rain is forecast. People will just take the easy option and stay home and watch it.

Yeah I agree Roman , everyone will be stuffed from the GF, I reckon lucky if it pulls 2000, wonder how many players will be hungover ?

Bazza, do you honestly think South’s & Claremont players will front up to a preliminary final with a hangover? 

Just booked 9 seats for the WAFL GF, dragging along a mate who's never been to a GF or to Optus, the granddaughters boy friend who is in the same boat, plus a couple who might go to 1 or 2 WAFL games a year. If more can encourage mates etc to come along and enjoy some footy at the best stadium in the land it will help to keep the GF at Optus in coming years.
