I think the rules regarding LBW referrals & the interpretation of the 3rd umpire is causing the controversy with the technology, rather than the use of the technology itself.

gee what we would give for Agars 1st innings now.....another 100 ball 98 please.....this side certainly knows how to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!!....huge ask....Haddin.....either Brad will smack a superlative 50 or he will be out within 10 mins on day 5.....interesting tonote haddin was picked for his experience.....well Brad.....do what you were picked to do......

the ONLY comforting thing here is that Siddle can bat....Starc can bat and so can Pattinson......I would love for Agar to score another 50 and hit the winning run.....this kid has the temperament.....just a big ask for him to do it again....

realistically Lehmann should of gone for Bird or Harris or Faulkner instead of Cowan....at least the former 3 could bowl and perhaps take a few wickets and even score a few more runs...unlike Cowan.....hopefully Ed will be shown the door.....likeable guy but tell me what value does he add to the team?....

I'm with you on this one Freezin. Cowan always look likes he's about to get out. Doesn't inspire confidence that's for sure.

I think Cowan is not alone. There is a few batsman in this team who should be shown the door. Warner, Hughes, Watson. We should stick to 6 specialist batsmen. WK, 4 bowlers. Rogers looks alright, don't know why he had to wait so long. There must be 6 decent batsmen in Australia.

At last I agree with something Freezn said.

Wonders will never cease.

Agar is a super star in the making.

He has poise beyond his years.

As far as Haddin is concerned he's a front runner, you watch.

Joan, Cowan should be shown the ball, I think you are bit hasty with Hughes, down the order a bit.

He did a good job in the 1st innings, adapted to a support role and did it well.

You are right tho, there are some front runners in Australian cricket at the moment.

I think there's one thing we've missed in our accolades for young Ashton. I watched his innings and it was a pleasure to see someone enjoying the moment. Even when it was a close call or he was bounced, he continued to smile and enjoy. I would love to know if there was any sledging going on between he and the Poms - didn't look like it. I think the ultimate sports moment was when he got out - just a smile and a shrug that said "ah well, that's cricket". What a wonderful young man. Still, all that may change once he's mixed a bit with our overpaid prima donnas. BTW - well done Graham Swann - congratulating the lad at the end of the innings.

:woohoo: What a morning of cricket. It's now lunch and the Aussies are still hanging in there. They have 1 wicket in hand and need 20 runs after lunch to win.

You can keep your 20/20s and one day internationals. Test cricket is THE game
