Cricket Australia makes the ALP look like a coherent organisation. WTF is there to be gained from sacking Mickey Arthur 2 weeks before the ashes???? Many of the current players are overpaid and overrated and I don't know how any coach could control the behaviour of some of this lot. If they were serious about dumping him surely the time would have been after the India debacle.

CA also shot themselves in the foot in regards to the Warner incident by effectively depriving the team of one possible player before the first test. If people honestly think that this decision is going to help Australian Cricket, they are kidding themselves because the problem is more deep seated than a coach, remember Arthur is the guy who took South Africa to number 1 in the world. I think some of the guys in the highest echelon of CA need to have a look at whether they should continue in their roles. Meanwhile the Poms will be giggling in their lager, only the English weather will save us from being pumped 5 zip

Exactly how I see it as well.. It is Bullshit. They have just used him as a scapegoat but lets look at the others like Inverarity and the selection panel. They seem to have their favourites and at least 4 players have been selected when their Run record does not warrent it
This crap about resting players which does nothing for the morale of the players concerned.
The tweet and discipline problems are endemic in the team right up to the top.
This includes The Captain without a ship Clarke.

its to do with the players - they are the ones who lack discipline off the field and cant score runs on it..

Micky Arthur took Sth Africa to no.1 in the world so he must have half a clue..
Harding's best is no.3 in the state..
as they say you cant polish a turd and Australian cricket is terrible talent wise from top to bottom in regards to batters bar Clarke and Rogers..
