I reckon correct pronunciation of terms in sport is important! Nothing shits me more when I hear an Aussie rules person say " yeh he really knows how to catch the footy" its not a catch its a mark, or the term quarterback in footy! What the f##k is that? Its half back, or full back. Or McAvaney when he says "Little give" what is that? its rubbish and I never heard the great Georgy Grilla use those terms..Drew Morphett too with his "half distance kick" which sounds plain dumb when you think about it.

Agree 110% - my biggest gripe with dickheaddwayne! I've even heard Corben Midalwhaeverhisnameis use it while calling WAFL. FFS, don't they understand the difference between footy and basketball???
