The Australia v South Africa game has been abandoned due to rain. A pity as I think it would have been a good contest with the Saffers better bowling attack maybe giving them the edge.

While SA may have the better bowling attack, I think maybe we have a stronger bat??  Either way, pity we didn’t get to see them play it out.

All the rest of the matches in this group look like knockout matches now PH......wouldn't surprise me if Eng beat Afghanistan and SA, and scrape through......

A shame the game was washed out last night. Not sure what happens from here in..Will the rain last night make it hard for Australia to get through.
Might be a biit off topic, but I have to give great credit to Steve Smith as our skipper through the Sri Lankan tour and in the game V the Poms.
The way he has used his second string bowling attack has been superb.Even his use of Marnus late in the game was first.I am sure that Cummins would never have leant that way. class. He will be hard to remove from the position I reckon.
Would Cummins think of stepping aside?

So The Ghan's have rolled jolly old England. What was the excuse this time from the whingers, which Ghan cheated and most importantly, did the Pomms achieve a moral victory?

That being said, Australia will need to be right on their game as the Ghan's will be playing without fear and full of confidence given there are few expectations on them.

Tournament is turning into a joke with all the rained out games and another one likely tonight which would see Australia into the semi finals on the basis of just one win.
Meanwhile India lord it up in Dubai, well rested, staying in the same hotel waiting for their next opponent to come over. They have been treated totally differently from everyone else and the whole thing has been set up for them to win

Looks like young Connolly got thrown to the wolves last night. Hopefully the kid can recover over time.....good confidence booster getting Rohit lbw I guess.....strange logic from the selectors opening with the kid.....especially when he was a traveling reserve.....surely Labs, Inglis or Carey could of opened, if the selectors had no faith in FMG.

Looks like the Kings of Dubai are odds on to win the Dubai Cup now....apparently Dubai is the new home of 🏏

Baffling decision to throw the kid to the wolves. Carey should have opened given the form he was in. Having said that it was the poor game awareness of the most experienced ODI players in Smith and Maxwell in throwing their wickets away at a crucial time that cost Australia the chance to get to 300, which would have been a challenging score on that pitch.
Will be a good contest between NZ and the Saffers tonight, could be a high scoring game
