Gee it looked pretty dire at 2/2 for Aust, chasing Eng 350 odd.....but kudos to Inglis, Short et for sticking fat and chasing it down with a couple of overs to spare. I believe Inglis has 100's across all 3 formats now......and one of a few,  to have a strike rate for at least one of those format 100's, at over a 100.

Arly days yet, but it ooks like a lot of flat tracks being produced though,  which means the bowlers are going to feel some heat during this comp......whilst the batsmen fill their boots.

Interesting decision to bowl Marnus at the death but it paid off with 2 wickets, including Duckett. TBH Johnson was pretty poor so he might have gone for more runs in that 50th over. It was a road of a pitch so 350 was not going to be a completely safe score for the poms, they probably needed 380. Once the dew came in, it was very difficult for the bowlers and the England attack were too much of the same type of bowling. Inglis is making it very hard for the selectors to leave him out of the team for the WTC final. 
Aussies have a chance to make the semis now but I think our inexperienced bowling attack will be found out by the better teams ( India, NZ and South Africa)

How come India get to refuse to play in Pakistan and on their 1 oval of choice?  Oh, I forgot, the real controllers of world cricket is BCCI.

I understand that gtr, but I’m pretty sure India has played there over the years.  I guess the terrorists wouldn’t be too fussed about  which country’s players get killed. It’s all about them making a statement.

All to do with where they can see some advantage and parking themselves in the Emerites for the entire tournament does give them a stable bae and an advantage. lets face it they would be crying a river if they cant give themselves any sort of unfair advantage. 

So if India make the finals they get to play at their "home ground" if other teams make finals they dont get a choice .......seems perfectly fair to me.

A very weak effort from the ICC, but would we expect anything different fromthe weak kneed mob.And Isn't the head of the ICC an Indian?

The Pakistanis are not permitted to play in the IPL either.

Thanks for the heads up HLAS.Seems incredibly unfair for the Pakistan players.But probably a win for our BBL.Having the opportunity to recruit the best available from Pakistan
