I think he needs to give up bowling and try to fit into the side as a batter only

Drop Labuschagne and play Marsh as a batter and have Webster do the AR duties. But Webster won't play unless Marsh isn't fit....same XI as Perth.....

Freeze sorry but while I don't doubt what you are saying about Marnus, and I believe I posted a few weeks ago he was in trouble, you can't keep dropping top order players and replacing them with middle order players. 

I have no issues with McSweeney getting a game, but he isn't an opener, and neither is Marsh. FFS we will be 2 for 7 off the first three overs.

Go and watch the tapes his hand is outside his right shoulder when he is bowling outswingers, his hand is over his right shoulder when he bowls straight, and his hand is almost over his left shoulder when he is bowling inswingers.

It looks like Hazlewood is going to miss the second test with a side strain, so who is in the frame to take his place? 35yo Scott Boland apparently. FMD why wouldn't the selectors take the opportunity to give someone like Spencer Johnson, Riley Meredith or Lance Morris if fit a crack and inject some new blood into the setup?

Any half decent fast bowler would be licking his lips with Smith coming in to bat. Only have to pitch up on the stumps and he'll wander off across his stumps and LB is there for taking. Then watch him walk up to his partner at the other end hoping he'll say too high or going down leg side and ask for a review.

Then as the 3rd umpire gives out then the inevitable stare at the pitch and the head shaking as he walks off like he's been robbed. Again

over the past three test summers he has hardly been fit enough to get over the white line
as much as I like Marsh he is simply too unfit to sustain a whole summer
Lyon is adequate but nothing seriously more than that
and if "selectors", and I use that term extremely loosely, suddenly had regard for Zampa
after showing zero faith in any leg spinner since Warney
then that is a decade or more too late to be of any benefit whatsoever

Here we go again. The Selectors have resisted any changes, apart from the forced one and put their faith in the team to bounce back. If they go 2 nil down, I think there may be some different players introduced in Brisbane.
Boland will do OK as a replacement for Hazlewood but I am perplexed as to why they think Marsh can bowl 10 overs in a day when he hasnt even rolled his arm over in the nets?
Hopefully the batsmen have come up with a better plan to combat Bumrah which involves trying to score off him, particularly taking some quick singles to rotate the strike. They will also have to contend with Ashwin or Jadeja ( or both) in this test
