bit of a mixed bag against Pakistan
we were a bit lucky that Mir dropped that catch because the batting fell away dramatically after the opening stand
it could have been very different
and again it was a bad start with the bowling which is the main worry
somehow they are in with a chance of finals but it is still a long way from the best

Amazing opening stand by Marsh and Warner then the rest were useless. Should have made 400 plus. Inglis batted beautifully until he didn’t. Zampa is clearly the future of the Australian team obviously Gary still the King when he recovers but the heir apparent is waiting in the wings. Would love to see those two bowling in tandem at the SCG on day 5.

Lucky Warner was dropped early.
Looks a lot better with Stoinis back and Zampa in form
Great opening partnership,M Marsh still has it.
Cummins made a mess of the reviews ,again.Bowled the wrong bowlers at the wrong time.R+P are still useless.

Fantastic start by Marsh n Warner.....the rest of the Aust batting card imploded, but that's a g8ven considered who is there. Great fightback by the bowlers, after the great start  by the Pakistani openers.

DD, Zampa is not the future for Aust...he is simply the here and now for Aust white ball cricket.....nothing more and nothing less. Zampa turns 32 in March, has a FC bowling ave of 46 from 40 matches. Murphy, Rocchiccioli and Tanveer Sangha are the future for Aust cricket in the red ball format....and moat likely even both white and red ball cricket.

Oh really Zampa 32? He looks like a kid. Oh well but I still have him over the Milky Bar Kid Murphy he looks useless to me dead straight doesn't turn the ball.

Yes the Saffas have thrashed both us and the Pomms, so look likely to go deep into the finals.

South African sport is riding a bit of a wave at the moment, their rugby team has made the WC final v the AB's should be one hell of a game.

the pitch is quite good for a change
will NZ get enough on the board that's probably the thing?

NZ Daryl Mitchell  must be one of most improved and underrated cricketers on the elite stage. Amazing to think he went to Hale, and was part of the underage WA state setup, when his old man John was coaching rugby here in WA back in the day from memory.

India keep on winning and look pretty firm favourites to win. Kohli keeps scoring at will, not sure who is the leading run scorer so far, but The Rat must be top 3 for sure.
