Absolutely nailed it Swansfan4life. Zero succession planning. This tournament is almost like a valedictory for the cricketers just about to retire. They are trying to play conservative one day cricket in a test mode and this has been a miserable failure in the first two games. If they don't change their approach on Monday, Sri Lanka will hand them a flogging as well. Some innovation is required to win these games. If you keep doing the same thing, you get the same result.  Abbott should be given a go as he is a capable medium pacer and lower order batter.

looking at the crowd in the India / Pakistan game
must be 98 to 2 Indian supporters out of every 100 you can tell by the sea of blue clothing
and the non stop noise , loudspeakers , instruments
100% circus sideshow
nice vibrant green ground
pitch is a dead slow lifeless buffalo trail
and I think we've seen enough of the Hi-Lux ad time to piss it off
forever

Jasprit Bumrah is a borderline chucker - just saw an absolute throw wicket

A sensational 69-run victory by Afghanistan over England in Delhi.
The Afghans have produced one of the great boilovers in World Cup history and have placed the To and Froms' finals prospects in severe jeopardy.

a big result
makes the middle band of teams very bunched up
anything could be possible but India have made it an uphill task for anyone else to come close
those pitches are just a joke really
the ICC is a puppet to them nowadays

Good effort to turn around a dire start to the game, into a win by Aust. Bit of a confidence booster for a few in the team, with Zampa getting a 4 for, Marsh & Inglis 50's and Maxwell/Stoinis hitting some quick runs.

Still a big ask to go deep in the comp, but I guess a positive step in the right direction.

Definitely a step forward and a good fightback after they were staring down the abyss with Sri Lanka 1- 157 at the half way stage. Sri Lanka are not a good team and will struggle to win more than 1 or 2 games, so wouldn't be getting carried away with the win. We will get more of an indication of their chances when they play Pakistan on Friday. The batting is still a bit jittery. Sad to say that Steve Smith may be the one to make way if and when Travis Head returns, he looks like a walking LBW at the moment. Great to see Josh Inglis grab his opportunity, he has been waiting a long time for it.

like some of those wrong ones that Zampa got going some rippers in there
the weather break came at a good time they did look far better afterwards
the shocking start is a big concern and the good teams will pummel them for that sort of stuff
might be rest time for Hazelwood and give Abbott a turn he can bat a bit too

South Africa were complacent and paid the price. Netherlands knocked them out of the T20 world cup last year so you would have thought they would have been primed up for retribution.
This result is good for the competition and will keep every side interested. Afghanistan v New Zealand will be interesting tonight to see if the Afghans can follow up on their very impressive win against England
