Some of us are not necessarily Langer "lovers" Freeze, I for one just did not like the whole process of the playing group lead by Cummins dictating to CA what they wanted.
As extremely well paid cricketers they should be doing as told by the governing body not the other way round!
But maybe I am just an old school dinosaur!

BH, pretty sure you aren't a McDonald/Cummins lover either mate.....yeah  agree the process was handled poorly, but pretty sure previous coaches Simpson and Arthur were player sabotaged as well with minimal viitriol.

Pretty sure  Lillee and Marsh were back stabbing pricks to Hughes back in the day,  yet they were loved by all n sundry then and post.

Cummins is an example of today's self perceived entitled generation. TBH, no different to Lillee and Marsh and their  self entitled behaviour on how they treated Hughes on that 81 Ashes tour.

Yes Anchor, like youI I want Aust to win every test they play, regardless who is captain or coach. Cummins is human and isn't going to perform every test. Ponting averaged under 10 after one Indian series, Warnie wasn't much chop either in India, Cummins won't be the first or last quality cricketer to struggle in India.

they're deadset considering 3 spinners for New Delhi - Starc is back and Green was bowling at practice
could be a very bowling heavy side picked
and then there is the Warner thing

I understand what people are saying about losing in India is a given.  But there’s losing and there’s losing.  It would be understandable if Oz were rebuilding the team, but we have some of the best cricketers in the world.  Hopefully we can bounce back, because the Ashes are coming up and I couldn’t stand listening to the Poms gob off if we lose.

Cars, Motorbikes+ Trucks in New Delhi. With numberplates that end in even an even number, drive one day.And the plates that end in odd numbers drive the following day.
The pollution there is terrible. The last test played there in 2017.The Sri Lankan fieldmen wore face masks. One would assume the pollution problem has only worsened in the last 6 years.Another hurdle for the Australian Cricketers to deal with.
Was reading another Cricket Forum. We have had 2nd class Indian spinner's bowl to us in the nets. The equilivent of our Pennent Grade Cricketers. And they totally pants our batsmen.

The Justin Langer stuff is ancient history, completely done to death, not helped by the man himself seemingly unable to get past it. I did feel sympathy for him initially about the way he was treated but there comes a  point where you have to move on
Mcdonalds credentials as a coach will be known later this year after the ashes. How many people really expected Australia to beat India in India when this has only happened once in the last 50 years?. This is not an all time great test team and many of the players are coming towards the end of their careers. I don't think anyone expected them to be thrashed by an innings and a test of the so called "team spirit" will be to see how they react to this defeat.

Travis Head must come back in, maybe to replace Warner at the top of the order. The bowling line up will depend on whether Green is available to bowl and whether the pitch is a turner. Its possible that Australia could go in with 3 spinners

58, interesting tweet by Martyn.....i guess Cummins or McDonald could tweet back #SAbrainfade1994.....  from memory, it cost Aust the game and 6 years of Martyn's test career.

Poor example. Martin wasn't the only failure in that game, but he was the only that suffered the consequences.

Starc and Green are looking touch and go for the 2nd test. If there is any doubt they shouldn't play them. Early reports indicate the pitch will be another turner from day 1 (surprise surprise!) so Australia may be considering 3 spinners. Given that they have jetted Kunemann to replace Swepson who is going to be back in a week or so, I reckon they must be seriously looking at him to come in ahead of Agar. Really makes zero sense.

They will probably go in with the same batting line up, barring injury. The selectors have backed themselves into a corner on Head now by their judgement that he cannot play on spinning tracks. They cant drop Renshaw on the basis of one poor match, or can they?  Anything possible I guess.

This situation reminds me of the tangle that England got themselves into with their "horses for courses' policy during the ashes last year, the players ended up confused particularly Broad and Anderson who didnt play together at all in any of the tests. We all know how that series ended.
