Cummins has looked like a deer in the headlights during this Test starting from the staggering selections before the toss to poor bowling and mind boggling field placings.....at least Ronald McDonald will be there to comfort him in about 10 minutes when this Test is all wrapped up!

BH -Cummins said the side runs it self.. Clearly not after this effort.

Ark it's like India playing a test at Optus Oval or the Gabba before Xmas..

a. play Swepsen and Murphy and Green and Head
b.play all three spinners and Green and Head
This has to be one of the worst batting line-ups to represent Australia

Sure its been a right old shambles on the field by the Aussies but the planning off the field has been absolutely meticulous and they have got their processes completely right!

I reckon  that Aust A side that recently won on the sub continent would offer more fight then this team.....oh hang on wasn't Murphy one of those Aust A youngsters?

Whilst I agree this test hasn't been one of Cummins better ones as a captain and  bowler.....can anyone tell me what JL would of dome differently?

Warner would still be opening, probably along side Harris instead of Uzzie....so thats an extra 10 runs there......with those injuries to Starc, Hazlewood and Green, perhaps Agar would of played instead of Renshaw, so another extra 10 runs there and maybe, just maybe one less wicket to Murphy's haul......and Head selected instead of Handscomb, so considering Head's subcontinent average, maybe  another 10 runs there, still a pantsing..

One can only hope Aust can regroup from this, like India did after their Adelaide all out for 36 pantsing a few years back, and win that series 2-1.

91 was the 2nd lowest score against India just beating the 83 scored in Melbourne in 1981. A disasterous test from start to finish.

Disgusting and embarrassing effort that won’t want to happen in the next test.  If it does, the coaching panel, selectors and players will be feeling heat like never before.  Surely the players have enough pride and will respond and have a go.

You really have to wonder about the management at CA and within the side as the preparation of our batsmen in the lead up to this Test in India was playing hit and giggle T20 Big Bash against mostly club medium pace bowlers!
The end result is 177 & 91 our second lowest score vs India of all time!!!

Bease- they will get away with it because it was not on free tv. The late DM Jones would be appalled as well given his double hundred on the sub-continent. RIP, mate.
